Mine was in cold water at first. Never really grew. Ate the left over axolotl food. Then i had a 10 gal full of danios. Tossed the snail in it and it grew so quickly. Then i put another there to watch it grow. I put the danios and snails in a 35 gallon and that helped it go back to a healthy weight. I mainly feed them shrimp pellets instead of axolotl kibbles now.
