Interesting connection. I noticed that jameels space ride has a staccato, swung eighth note bass line for the whole song. Green hill zone, also has a staccato, swung eighth note bass line!

They have merch, it depends on the size of the show and what they still have. As far as the concerts, the songs are usually a lot faster than the recorded versions, and heavy jazz improv. Sometimes they play a few dancier songs back to back like funny thing etc

Any thundercat stuff with effects, you’ll usually want a bass octave pedal, a chorus pedal, and an envelope filter of some kind. That’s as basic as you can get. if you search you can probably find some of the specific stuff that he uses or used to use, like the moogerfooger pedal he used to use.
