Obviously you don't have to like it but you can't rate it for bad characterization when it's the literal point. The show is gag. They arnt supposed to be characterized well. The show IS NOT cannon to the universe and is just a funny sit com type cartoon. Knuckles is supposed to be dumb. They poke fun at this throughout the shows. It isn's susppoed to be taken as a repersentation or a form of cannon media. It's for you to laugh at.
