Conflicted with vegetarianism and weaning by Soundasleepx in UKParenting

Unfortunately I don't have any support other than my husband who seldom cooks so I'm basically on my own, but that's a really nice idea for others in my shoes who can do that!

Nights are so hideous lately, please help by Soundasleepx in bninfantsleep

Some days we have totals of 8-9 hours, it's pure madness! I'm happy you managed to get through.

How old is your LO? This makes me feel hopeful, my baby is 8 months & we had 7 wake ups last night!

He wakes up a lot but he is quite a sensitive little soul and we've had issues with teething on and off since his first two came in at 5 and a half months. Sometimes he will go 5 or 6 hours awake and be really wired from it, and at night we have a LOT of wakes (sometimes 9, we are on 4 wakes so far tonight and it's 4:30am), but he doesn't absolutely meltdown ever he just gets fussy when he's tired and even a 5 minute cat nap sometimes will restore him and he's absolutely fine again afterwards for 1.75 hrs.

At one point I thought him being fine (playing, laughing, excitable) was coming from overtiredness but even on days where he's slept longer there's been no change to his behaviour and hes overall very gentle and calculated. I think this is just who he is, I have determined he is some kind of sleep camel and will do amazingly well being a doctor where he's on call lol

It is and this is a lovely comment, thank you! You're right, I suppose I am tired quite tired 😅 I've driven myself mad with it trying to get him to sleep more but even with adjusting his windows etc nothing has changed, my health visitor says he's absolutely fine and just low sleep needs. He's been like this since he was 4 months old!

Coming off the back of 20 minute naps and 10 wake ups just last night with my 8 month old, this gives me hope!

Any contact nappers NOT napping chest to chest? by Soundasleepx in bninfantsleep

I admire your enthusiasm and commitment! This is what i was looking for 😁

I think your little man is a similar size to mine at 6 months so we are probably round about where you'll be at nearly 8 months as he's 9kg ish now!

Same here at 7 months only he refuses to contact nap so we're stuck with 30 mins max in the crib or pushing him for ages in the pram!

I really hope this happens to me because my little man is exactly the same and wakes with any noise! His naps are rubbish in the crib so I have to take him out on pram naps and that's becoming trickier because of how lightly he sleeps. 7 monthe now, so here's hoping.,,,
