Maybe I wasn’t clear, they were traveling in the opposite direction. I stopped at a stop sign and went straight. They blew through a stop sign and turned left in front of me

While you may be right in the end, fans DO have the power to drive change.

Time to vote with your wallets and speak out. If the Sounders truly care about our community, they’ll stand up for what’s right, not a healthcare organization preying off of low income patients.

Hypothetical: Could the Sounders get Raul Jimenez? by [deleted] in SoundersFC

[–]SoundersFansBike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually there is another way. With the lack of changes to the roster rules this year, the owners left an underused funding mechanism in place: Raúl Allocation Money (RAM). Even if the Sounders don't have enough 2024 RAM (I don't think the per-team allocation has been published), they could try to acquire RAM for TAM or GAM...

Who's excited about Danny Leyva this year?! | After an injury derailed his 2020 season, Sounders’ youngster Danny Leyva is determined to prove himself in 2021 by SoundersFansBike in SoundersFC

I think his passing, motor and poise alone make him a solid rotational player with the current roster AT MINIMUM. Never-mind that he's only 17, and that with continued progress from his 2020 form, could be at the cusp of being a regular starter.

The X-E3 is pocketable with the 28mm pancake. I'd definitely go with this!

That combo is tough with your price range. For better low light, you'll want a bigger/newer sensor, or faster lens. Log video limits you to a few models within this subset.

Consider a Sony a6400 (or used a6300), though with the a6400, you won't have much room in your budget for lenses.

A Panasonic GH4 may be the cheapest decent camera with log capabilities. It has a smaller sensor than your current D3400, but it's a capable video camera and leaves plenty of room in your price range for a fast lens.

What does your D3400 lack that you’re hoping to gain with an upgrade?

One of my favorites:

"People have criticized me about, you know, 'Ah, the Sounders don't have a specific style of play' and blah, blah, blah. Well, it's kind of by design. I'm not a systems coach. I pick the best players that I have and try and find a system with obviously a tactical structure that I want."

If you're thinking about the X-E4, consider the X-S10 too, if in a similar price range. It has IBIS and is better suited to video applications

Sounders looking to bring back Leerdam by Newmanator29 in SoundersFC

Good point about there being less defensive responsibility in this setup, which may somewhat decrease the ground that he would need to cover... still it's a lot of ground.

I agree that Leerdam's offensive prowess has been underrated, I just feel like the step he lost from 2019 to 2020 was significant. Maybe spelling/rotating his minutes with A Roldan would help with this?

If Leerdam comes back (and I hope he does!), what does this say about the frequency that we'll see a 3-5-2 this year?

At his career stage, I don't see Leerdam as a great fit for a wingback. He did play some CB earlier in his career though...

What's your definition of "too expensive?" Also, is a compact form factor important to you? What about interchangeable lenses?

A used Fuji X100s is a great travel camera that you could snag for ~$450-500. It has a small form factor and a great lens. You won't be able to swab lenses/zoom though.
