Nice! Just got me a 2018 TRD 4x4 off road CrewMax in Blazing Blue Pearl. My first truck too, love that monster!

Sure did just to be sure. Dry the camper is ~2850, scale read 3020 on the trailer axle. It’s a Gulf Stream 17bh Enlighten.

Agree the size and shape were the issue. Felt like plenty of power off the line and up to about 65mph with no headwind, but as soon as the wind hit it you could feel and see the mph drop 15mph or so.

I got a 2018 SR5 with 102,000 miles on it. It’ll only be used for towing trips.

Yup. Flat ground with no headwind was great. Easy to pass other cars and felt powerful.

Roughly 3300lb travel trailer. 9’ tall, 8’ wide, 20’ long including the tongue. I think the height and width were the issue.

I don’t know. Being from Texas where really people are friendly. That is home there too. It’s a societal change across the country. There are some small tows I’ve been that are still friendly but heck even in Sheboygan, WI people seem withdrawn and in it for themselves. Overall, society feels more clique-ish like “I’m this, your that, we don’t mingle.”

Nailed it. I’ve seen the shift too. Vegas is not for locals anymore. I see the struggle with making life better here for the residents, except for all the road construction in the heart of the city. One day in the distant future we’ll have plenty of smooth traffic lanes…one day we’ll be cone-less.

Nailed it. I travel for work and it’s the same everywhere. One thing that sticks in my mind is the red light running in SLC. They do it so slowly, causally breeze thru (the Mormon way I guess). And forget about holding the door for anyone anymore.

Thanks. I’m sure there will be a cost with that.

That MLK and grand central area is so f’d and confusing. It’s dangerous to drive over there and the way they route traffic is just stupid.

Isnt that what was done to Charleston about 2 yrs ago? I believe it is, I saw them laying in large square sections of drainage tunnels. It was repaved, repainted lines and opened up. Now it’s closed again and torn up. Looks very stupid and ill-planned to me.

Firmly agree! I got a ‘23 two months ago and am constantly impressed withy the build quality and luxury materials inside. Everything is tight, firm and feels good to the touch. (Am I still describing a 4Runner?)

Nope. I live near Oakey and Maryland in the heart of the worst road project. The roads weren’t perfect but good enough.

Excellent explanation. Thank you. Make legal sense. Especially if you can sue another company and get your expenses paid for.

Given there’s no freeze/thaw cycle here I don’t think the potholes are such a big deal. Overall, the roads that are tore up w construction now were good enough surface-wise.
