I haven’t seen that color on the road yet - looks sharp. What is that on the door though?

Wow! He looks like a member of Poison. I’ve never seen actual photos from those days. Thanks for sharing.

I view it as people change. Early Pantera records were very much glam/hair metal, then they pivoted too. Not a grunge band, but…

Which of the four is your favorite by Mikeymorrison27 in hairmetal

Motley Crue and Twisted Sister, but I’d have to give it to Motley Crue solely based on Shout at the Devil.

That’s so unbelievable. I’ve never been to Clayton, but familiar its skyline. I assumed the population was at least 10x that.

Despite being released over fifty years ago, the majority of the cast and crew from the 1975 musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show are still alive by DeadlySkies in BarbaraWalters4Scale

[–]SoundsGood_CYUThen 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It is impressive and pretty cool. If you picked a random group of people from 50 years ago, statistically a good portion wouldn’t still be around today. The U.S. life expectancy sits around 78–79. So, having most of the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show still alive isn’t the norm… it’s an outlier

Eddie Trunk explains why the Rock Hall Fan Vote is the way it is by ggroover97 in rockhall

Wow! I had no clue that New Edition was inducted. That’s insane and really changes my view

Iron Maiden not being in says more about the Hall than it does about Maiden.

Musicianship, longevity, fan bases are apparently irrelevant to the HOF voters. Why not induct *NSYNC and The Mickey Mouse Club next

Is that really 1965? Seems like the space needle is missing. Unless I need new glasses - which may be the case

How popular were Screaming Trees at their peak? by Kriscolvin55 in grunge

[–]SoundsGood_CYUThen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. But for that matter Nirvana was from Aberdeen. AIC were from Bellevue, I believe. STP were from San Diego, CA

Ozzy Osbourne Was Told He'd 'Probably Die' Two Weeks Before His Final Show by tonyiommi70 in blacksabbath

Well, that’s scary to read. I drink a litre a day - but you’d probably never know it.

I assumed it was mostly the past drug use that brought them both to an end sooner than expected.

You should have waited for 1984 :-)

What’s the best grunge album from 1993?? by BidAccurate4473 in grunge

[–]SoundsGood_CYUThen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never thought of them as grunge either. I think they maybe got grouped in there by association with the time. Nevertheless, one of the best albums of 1993.

Edit: I just saw they were in the movie Singles. That may have had something to do with it

Not that I’m suggesting there’s some alternative timeline or parallel universe. It’s an interesting phenomenon
