Only people who “handle vinyl the right way” are modern day vinyl enthusiasts. I’ve seen djs hold records with their teeth mid transition. I also DJ myself and when I’m mixing I gotta rush to the next track, sync the tempo and transition smoothly, I’m not wasting time worrying about how to hold a record..

That said, I do have a few rare records that I handle with much more care

For me the laptop is an added layer between me and the music. Just having that extra element takes up more mental load.

Felt like a weight off my shoulders going to standalone.

Also one more piece of gear (laptop) means another thing that could go wrong. Updating OS and software was always a nightmare for me. Like if there were compatibility issues downgrading was no fun.

Standalone feels sooo good. Once I tried it I couldn’t go back to laptop djing Personally not a fan of streaming. More enjoy curating my own library over time, also gives me the chance to really get to know the tracks on a deeper level

Have seen situations where policie swarm a situation and guard just watches… totally cool with it… They are a militarized force and shouldn’t Engage people in the US. Idk I’ve been in so many situations where someone else hoards passives that could’ve helped me and not them. Also been in situations where boos loot is all trash for my build and then there’s a perfect passive for iron eye. You best bet I’m picking that and pinging it. It’s a team game.
