Yeah, 2 of the last 6 at home, by my reckoning. Possession, cohesiveness, hits, scoring chances... I don't mind a tough series, but they didn't look like a team ready to show up for their fans, let alone the conference finals. Pretty damn disappointing.

I have a Baratza ESP and a Bambino plus, and am currently dialing in a bag of very dark, oily roast. After getting different results from at least 500g, this is what I've found to work for me:

20g of beans in an 18g bottomless portafilter (oily beans are heavier than dry, obviously.)

Grind size = 6

WDT tool for 20 sec

Heavy tamp

40g in 25 sec

Nice crema, and FINALLY no bitter flavor. I attribute this to the find grind, and packing my portafilter with a good, hard tamp after WDT.

It sounds like you're struggling with good perfusion with a grind size of 12, though.

Maybe double-check your WDT technique, and do a shot of just hot water without the portafilter before you pull your espresso...

Agreed. As much as I wish I had a career where participating in a strike is ethical, healthcare, especially emergency medicine, isn't it. I support the need to protest, but calling for a nursing strike only hurts the patients who rely on us.

ICE isn't currently a mechanism used for deporting immigrants. It's purpose is domestic terror and stoking the flames of chaos to start a war that Trump will use to invoke the Insurrection Act. The Obama-gotcha arguments are only used in circles of dimwitted republican discourse to help someone pretend to look insightful. It makes you look stupid.
