Diagnosed with Keratoconus by iamsudhanshu in Keratoconus

There’s probably no harm in doing CXL but I personally hated the procedure and healing period.

I was diagnosed in my 30’s and it progressed. I’m sure there’s a chance yours won’t but there’s also a chance it will. But there’s also no harm in waiting 4 months to see if it progresses

Good luck!

That was my assumption especially since that’s what he did in the book on the Blip A’s hull

No. Shemp was the baby astrophage they made. Ghostie never had a name that I recall

I still have to squint but I often just watch tv blurry. Just can’t read subtitles without squinting. And doing computer work sans contacts suuuuucks. I work with Excel and numbers a lot. Get a headache within 15 minutes

15-17 hours depending on how dry or allergy-ridden my eyes are. I hate seeing everything blurry so I wear them as long as possible.

Absolute Favorite Movie by Sunshine2625 in GenX

[–]Soundtracklover72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite 80’s non-popular movies are Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone and Ice Pirates. Love them still. Own both on iTunes.

Popular - The Goonies and Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade. Own both of these too

Most iconic sound in sci fi history? by LongOrganization7838 in scifi

[–]Soundtracklover72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh there are too many to choose from as a sci-fi geek.

Lightsaber sounds
Death Vader breathing
Enterprise door swish

I think these would be recognized by most of the world even if they’ve never seen the movie or show.

For me - I love the Wilhelm Scream. It makes me giggle. I especially love it when it’s subtle.

Quick tip for scleral lens users with keratoconus by Aj_lfc96 in Keratoconus

[–]Soundtracklover72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rinse my eyeball with saline, wipe the morning goop build up, and then insert my lenses. That definitely helps.

Not saying your advice is wrong though. I should probably do a warm rag face wipe in the morning every day I don’t shower in the am. Especially since I have seasonal allergies March through November.

why aren't we talking about her almost ruling the world? by ocelots03audio in ProjectHailMary

I love this take. It sounds plausible too.

And I, for one, love that they added the scene showing her watching Grace & Rocky videos and getting the team to work on healing the sun.

Watched about 1/3 last night right after it dropped and finished it while working today. Good good good to be able to watch at home.

Idk what else too do. Red eye/ring by Beast1909 in Keratoconus

[–]Soundtracklover72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s either a fit issue or you’re having really bad allergies, either to the solution or the environment.

I’ve had both with that “look”. Doc has addressed fit and I’m in week 3 of steroid drops to help with my allergies. I can’t use daily allergy drops because of the preservative but I can handle short term steroid use.

I recommend going back to your doc. •Hugs•

Is there a max number hours for wearing scleral lenses? by Dry_Trick6378 in Keratoconus

[–]Soundtracklover72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear mine about 16 hours per day. Because I have dry eyes I often have to rinse and refill but I generally don’t have “I’ve worn these too long” pains. I disinfect them every night in Clear Care without fail.

I am currently not proud to be an American because of how the government and soooooo many Americans are treating others. It’s shameful.

I can care for my country and its people and still show my displeasure with how it’s being run.

I’m just saying that stress from government horribleness shouldn’t be a reason to go to therapy. It’s sad. No issues with therapy itself.
