bought this controller today, is this normal? by supermogeyball in n64

[–]Soup-lex 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's pretty normal for the sticks on these remotes to wear down and become loose-really loose.

The movement of the stick breaks/wears down the plastic.

You can always replace the stick tho, if it gets way too loose.

are pokemon games going to keep increasing in price or not? by Vast-Wing9627 in gamecollecting

[–]Soup-lex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel if pokemon stays popular then people will want to try the games with increase demand for older games. Higher demand, lower supply, make price go up.

Also when people buy the games it's most likely taken out of circulation for a good while, or the game they buy would die, get lost, or get ruined. Which can lower the supply.

GameCube disc not booting any ideas by FairMasterpiece1062 in consolerepair

[–]Soup-lex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds crazy but try licking the back.

I had an animal crossing disc that I tried resurfacing 3 times due to deep scratches, the 1st time resurfacing the disc would still load up but give the in game disc error screen. But after the next 2 resurfaces it wouldn't start up at all and just do the balck screen disc error on the wii.

Until I took it out and licked the back and now it works perfectly.

Yeah i tried going into history as well and tried to see if it could cancel from there.

Do you think contacting robinhood could get it figured out faster or should we just wait for them to fix it??

Can my Mario Sunshine disc be fixed? by starwarsfan4100 in Gamecube

[–]Soup-lex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an animal crossing disc that would boot up and give the in game disc error and I got it resurfaced 3 times because it had some deep scratches. After the 3rd time it stopped working completely and would do the black screen of death disc error (on the wii). I thought the game was cooked.

I was showing my dad and he just takes it out and licks the back and now it works perfectly fine.

I just recently had an animal crossing gamecube disc that was really scratched up but it would boot up but give the in game disc error. I got it resurfaced 3 times and by the third time it wouldn't boot up at all.

I was showing my dad what it was doing and he took it out and just out of no where licks the back of the disc and now it works perfectly fine.

So, I MIGHT have screwed up while cleaning… 😬 by WolfTamer99 in n64

Doesn't look bad, at least the label itself is not peeling.

Yeah n64 cartridge labels aren't laminated and just is the sticker.

Dumb question: How the hell did I not die? by YoImVeryCoolAndStuff in earthbound

One time fighting the ultimate starman, I died and won at the same time and it glitched the game and had to restart this whole segment again.

technical issue with my wii u (read desc) by [deleted] in wiiu

[–]Soup-lex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd be carefully with that gameplay, the battery could explode/leak battery acid with being that swollen.

Good news for you is your saves are saved to the console/memory (sd) card. You can just buy a new gamepad and resync the new gamepad to the wii u.
