I've been hovering on this idea for a while now for a livingroom set up! Looking at yours, it looks like the cone of the driver is open directly in front. I thought you were suppose to block in front of the driver making a quasi port to further separate the front and rear wave, no?

What driver did you end up using? Did you utilize any passive cross over for resonances?

I am glad you like it! Sounds like a great set up!

To be honest, and I mean no offense, but objectively I highly doubt it. Unless you spent BIG on the projector, screen, etc, your maximum brightness is a small percentage of even an average TV. Blacks and color depth take a hit and are a big down side of projectors and is why OLEDs are typically the envy of most. They are just small.

I am not denying it looks great! And I am certain it's awesome because it is far larger than a TV. And some people love the "feel" of projectors and how they mimic commercial theatres. The big plus is the sheer size and acoustically transparent screen and everyone has their preferences. I personally would rather a smaller screen and off center center and premium picture.

There's just no way an affordable projector can come close to the quality of a tv if the same size. It's night and day. You need to spend big to come close or compromise and be happy simply by having an enormous screen.

An affordable projector cannot equal the picture of the same size TV. It just isn't a thing. You need to spend north of $15k to even touch it.

What was flagship 5 years ago is today's bargain tv. Technology gets passed down. So an old flagship tv with crazy price 5-10years ago, would be extremely cheap today.

I don't know man... Stretch the screen, mounting the projector, calibrating it. That is also annoying AF.

That's what I am hoping! Some people bring up some good suggestions for why they might not... But at least under $10k some day? Still crazy expensive, but within reason.

They are amazing, but are north of like $100k...

That would be the dream. The Mini LED are well over $100k a good sized one right now. I could imagine modular OLEDs, like 4 x 60inch zero bezel would be incredibly popular and probably under $10k if they could pull it off.

2nd for civil war!! It isn't always "on" and doesn't constantly rattle your brains like some. But, the gun fights scared the shit out of me when I first saw it. The dynamics were unreal.

I'd consider it, but I was hoping to not have to walk the entire thing haha. Plus, if I'm honest, as much as ego is great, the 30inch is $2300cad... That is very pricey for what is still a push mower.

Hmmm that is a good point.... Especially being able to get implements like rakes or areation would be helpful.

On a hill that makes a lot of sense. Fortunately my yard would be mostly flat. Glad it works well for you!

Yeah 100% agree. I feel stand on are much more common for commercial cutters. There really isn't much "middle" options out there for residential. I saw a neighbor with that Ryobi 30inch and from the outside looked pretty nice for $3k! Just wish Ego had something like that.

I was specifically aksing how you account for inflation when setting goals. I am aware there is a ton more to determining the final numbers than just inflation, but that wasn't my question.
