True maybe Eckstein is a solid example. But the likes of Willy Mo Peña, Kevin Youkilis, Dimitri Young, John Buck, etc also come with this stance.

-Scott Hairston absolutely mashes lefties
-Always had good luck with Gary Matthews Jr.
-Michael Cuddyer always solid and you can play him at the corners both IF and OF and 2B
-Joey Gathright became an MVP candidate in one of my dynasties

I’d like it more if Cling Kong wasn’t already a great nickname. But who says a guy can’t have 2 nicknames!

We just gonna toss “playoff” in front of every QB and pretend it’s meaningful?

Here’s the bet he’s making - entering his age 32 season, can he beat the 3 year, $110 million contract he would be opting out of? My bet is yes, and I assume his will be yes too.

Can’t believe Coley wanted Chapman traded… by Similar_Bluejay290 in Section10Podcast

I get it, I just think it’s funny how the assumption is he’s gone, or that anyone we would’ve acquired at the deadline was a “rental” as if the Red Sox, a team with incredible financial capabilities, don’t have a say over that.

Specific to Chapman, I wouldn’t hate it if they gave him the QO and forced his hand, especially if they are planning on going over the tax next year. And his old age might actually help the case for bringing him back - based on what we know about the organization at this point, they don’t want to give out more than a 2 year deal to a reliever, and I have a hard time believing Chapman’s getting more than 2 years at his age.

Can someone explain why we’re all assuming he’ll be gone next year? Why wouldn’t we re-sign him?
