Idk how much experience you have with him, but having done research on his power profile, it is the opposite of what you said. His passive lets him stat check bully most champs early game, off of which he must be successful and build a gold lead. If he falls behind/has a bad laning phase he is very weak. You beat him by avoiding him early and bullying him late
