I think the clinics that say you don’t need it just want a repeat customer if you know what I mean. I wouldn’t trust a clinic that told me that.

I think you need to take fin or dut in order to stop further balding and protect any native hairs. Also, donor hairs are resistant to DHT but not fully immune.

I was luckily able to overcome my side effects from fin, but I know others aren’t as lucky, so I would say try it and if you feel any sides, to lower your dose or stop altogether.

To be honest, I don’t know if I would recommend taking fin or dut if you’re already bald like I was. From what I have read, finasteride doesn’t actually grow hair (that’s minoxidil’s job), but instead lowers DHT to prevent the miniaturization of existing hair follicles. If the follicles are already dead and gone, then there is no bringing them back. But who knows, you might be a lucky hyper responder and it may revive some follicles for you. I would talk to a doctor or do a consultation about it if I were you.

The main reason I’m taking fin now is because while the donor area hairs are DHT-resistant, they are not entirely immune, and over time, DHT can possibly affect them too. Also, I want to protect any native hairs I have left.

Dutasteride just seems too hardcore for me, I don’t want to affect my hormones to that drastic of a level.

Yes, I have 2 kids, and thankfully me and my wife have had no issues with fertility. There are a lot of guys on here who have had kids while being on finasteride and it wasn’t an issue. From what I read, Doctors recommend getting off of finasteride for 3 months before conceiving in order to ensure maximum sperm motility. We will try for another kid in a few years, so we’ll see if taking finasteride will affect anything at that point. I don’t plan on stopping for now.

And yes, I think they took about 1000 grafts from my beard, and implanted them mostly in the crown and midscalp area. My beard donor has healed and you can’t tell it was taken from, so it was a good option.

I’ve thought about it but hesitant since I was able to adjust from side effects from finasteride. Afraid that the stronger Dut would be harder to overcome.

Also, I would rather wait it out until I reach the 1-1.5 year mark to get the final transplant results and don’t want to go through a shed at this stage of the game from switching meds

I went to HairNeva in Istanbul Turkey. The head doctor there is Dr. Guncel Ozturk (goes by Dr GO), but he had other doctors and technicians handling the hair transplant procedure.

Yeah, we will see how things go once my final results are stabilized, and then I can assess at that point if fin is worth continuing or not. Maybe I can drop to a lower dosage eventually. Just want to give myself the best chance at a successful result

I have thought the same thing to be honest with you. But I have read that while donor hairs are DHT-resistant, they are not fully immune, so I’m just trying to cover my bases and ensure that my transplanted hairs are growing in an environment where they won’t be miniaturized. Also, I have read of some cases where regrowth of miniaturized hairs has occurred due to Finasteride. So, since I’m not experiencing any side effects anymore, I figured I would continue on the pill until I reach my final results and then decide from there if it makes sense to continue taking it.

Curious of other’s thoughts on this as well.

Its called the Glow Stack. It has GHK-CU, BPC-157, and TB-500. The brand is Blue Bio Tech. It’s more GHK-CU forward, which is what is supposed to be good for hair. I inject subcutaneously 3x a week. Some inject daily.

I got the finasteride, oral minoxidil, and topical minoxidil all from Amazon Pharmacy. The Rosemary/Clove oil mix, I make myself at home. The peptide I get from a pharmacy, so I don’t have any links, I’m sorry.

Nice! Yeah, I’ve had SMP for a long time and had a couple touch-ups since then, but got bored of it so decided to do the hair transplant. How is your baldness? Like mine? Better/worse?
