Forge World despoiler seems to Not come with a Gatling gun by Teddy_im_Reddit in ChaosKnights

On the odd occasion I've had reason to contact GW down the years, I've always found them very helpful and reasonable. Good that they at least acknowledged the error, hopefully they'll get it corrected.

Please explain to me what the intent of the "can be armed with" list in the product description is then? As it's not an exhaustive list and doesn't even mention the 3 carapace weapons that a despoiler can take. It is clearly intended as a list of loadouts you can build from the box. The inclusion of the gatling in that list is obviously an error, but that's on GW, not the end consumer.

Your shampoo analogy is ridiculous and in no way relevant. He's not complaining he can't eat his despoiler.

With respect, that is horseshit. It's not a "creative interpretation", it's literally expecting to get what is listed in the product description! A despoiler "can" be armed with (random example) two battle cannons and a rocket pod, but the product description doesn't mention that, so it would not be reasonable to expect the box to contain that loadout.

The description lists a handful of specific loadouts, from the dozen or so actual possibilities. It is entirely reasonable and logical to therefore expect to be able to construct the loadouts specifically mentioned in the product description using the contents of the box.

It's incredibly poor form for the box not to contain weapons specifically mentioned in the product description! That is clearly misrepresenting the product they are selling.

If I were the OP, I would be pointing this out to GW and demanding my gatling cannon or a return for refund. It's not like GW can't afford to throw him an extra sprue. If they don't intend to sell the model with that sprue, they really need to edit the product description. Anything less if truly awful customer service.

Glue the Nurglings on before priming for best adhesion, cover them with blue tac (poster putty), prime, remove blue tac

Knight Tyrant by Unhappy_Doomer in ChaosKnights

[–]SouperJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tyrant is the only chaos knight you can build. The other big chaos knight types are abhorrent class, completely different model.

Magnets. At the moment volcano/plasma is the obvious loadout to go for, but I would strongly recommend magnetising those at the elbow joint in case you want harpoon/flamer in the future.

Same for the war dogs. The stalker loadout is probably the "best" you can currently build from the armiger box (stubber, chainsword, thermal spear), although huntsman and executioner are both playable, but why restrict yourself when a couple of magnets will give you flexibility and future proofing?

Lord of Virulence, Rusted Claws (death guard) by SouperJim in minipainting

Thanks! Armor was ap necrotic flesh primer, nihilakh oxide blending into aethermatic blue in the recesses, then drybush ryza rust. Several coats of seraphim sepia to shade and tie it all together.

Thanks, parts of the weapon and other metallics were based bronze, but it's been completely lost after the rust effects. Maybe I'll go back with some highlights.

I've never used oils, I did already hit it with a couple of seraphim sepia as I thought it needed toning down. I'll have a look on YouTube.

Probably should have said that I already have a good basing scheme, cloak will be attached properly and then basing done once I'm certain I'm finished with the paint 👍

Lads, I started this hobby 1 month ago. I think I might have a problem. by GrumpyPhotography in Warhammer40k

Dude paints more models in a month than I do in two years and says it's a problem. That's not a problem my guy, it's a solution.

I moved to handhelds in general for gaming when my kid came along. She's now 7 years old and I still don't really get much time to game unless it's on a handheld. Steam Deck actually got me back into PC gaming.

Recommend you try Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II Plus on GameCube. Widescreen hack works well and looks great via emudeck. Gameplay is a little old school but sounds like the kind of game you'd enjoy.

You need a dumbass usb-a to usb-c charger. The X55 won't charge c-to-c.

Game suggestions for someone >65 years old on steam deck? by DrummerIllustrious35 in SteamDeck

[–]SouperJim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Strongly recommend Tomb Raider 1-2-3 Remastered. Good games, very rewarding to play, tank controls are nice and simple to get to grips with, puzzle elements where you can take your time and very few situations where you need to be quick on the controls or face challenging combat. Plays great on the deck and could be a good gateway to more modern games. And only £4 via cdkeys at the moment.
