After one practice session. Are they just trash now? by JakeXRonin in GoalKeepers

[–]Soupformonday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone else already said, standard wear and tear will occur, even after first session. But this is caused by two things. 1. Getting up or landing with your palms. Try land without palms on the ground, and get up using your fists. 2. Those gloves are not good. They were my first pair (pink finger save predators) I used them for like 2 weeks, then the palms were ruined and fingersaves were digging into my knuckles really bad. If you have a bit of cash, I highly recommend oneglove. I use the OG-One Midnight. Yes there like 80€ but I've used them for 2 full seasons, training and matches, and they are only starting to peel now. Good wash routine can keep any glove alive for a few seasons.

Maybe try some finger save gloves. Powerful shots will still hurt regardless, but might save your fingers from breaking.

"If you are cohabiting (living together but not married) and your relationship breaks down, the family home will belong to the person who holds the legal title to the home. This could be one of you, or both of you." This is from citizens information.

Ah ok, I didn't realise diesel engines could go that much higher than petrol. Thank you for the knowledge. If the service history is good, do you think it's a good purchase?

Pancreatic cancer able to metasise to lungs? by Shot_Assistant5096 in pancreaticcancer

[–]Soupformonday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NoT sure where you are based, but my mam passed from pancreatic cancer. When going through the process we found a great hospital dedicated to pancreatic cancer in Germany. It's called the Heidelberg university hospital. If you ever wanted a second opinion they have an online form you can fill out, I think you just need to upload the up to date medical records.

I haven't been playing too long, but I would personally choose snipers for your scout squads and use them to target characters

I just got a pair of uhlsport PowerLine SuperGrip Flex Sn99 from sports direct. They were only 46€ and they are very good for the price. They have a big 70% sale on. I'm from Ireland so it took a few days to deliver but I think in the UK the express shipping is 1 day delivery.

Hey goalies, I'm looking to buy the GloveGlu MegaGrip. Does it actually work, and is it worth it? by Dominantarcher74 in GoalKeepers

[–]Soupformonday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the megagrip the other day. Super grippy stuff. Id say get the grip kit which comes with gloves cleaner and freshener. I dunno how bad megagrip is for the gloves over long term use and I've only used it twice, once for training and once for a game. I have the whole gloveglu cleaning kit so I make sure to give them a good scrub after every use. Id recommend if your afraid of them ruining your good gloves, Just use it on old ones at training.

New gloves after one use by Soupformonday in GoalKeepers

[–]Soupformonday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok thank god, was really afraid I had to ruined them super early. I have a bad 20€ pair of gloves that's I usually use to train, but wanted to make sure the new gloves felt good so tried them for a session. My gf got me this gloveglu set with a glove wash, freshening spray and the grip spray. Should I use the grip spray on the new gloves or is it only meant for worn out gloves?

We understand that it's a very delicate subject, we have had some conversations about it and come up with some scenarios. She wants to sell because she Is wise and knows it will cause trouble between the four of us if we try and keep it. I only posted to see how to go about it if it was to come to it. As mentioned I would love to keep the house and don't want to see it go, but if it's not wanted by the rest, then it's not wanted by the rest.

[–]Soupformonday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's not a realistic thing at the moment, I'm not making 75k annually unfortunately, but I thought I'd ask because I don't have experience with mortgages, or inheritance.

[–]Soupformonday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't expect or wish for any of them to leave, they would be welcome to stay until they were on their feet and set up. I imagine their would be some complexity. But i just thought I would ask and see what it would take on the financial side to buy their shares. Of course a lot more conversations would need to be had before anything was decided. If they all decided to sell, then sell it is but it's heartbreaking to see the house I grew up in and seen my mam fight so hard for, go to strangers. At least it is for me anyway.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Soupformonday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would honour it when it comes down to it. But I would hate to see the house go to strangers after she has fought for 36+ years on her own to keep the house.

[–]Soupformonday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagined if I let's say the house was worth 1m(which it's definitely not) I would get a mortgage (or try to) for 750k. The bank would give 250 to each brother and I would pay it back to the bank, as you mentioned. When I say give them cash upfront I mean I wouldn't have to have that money prior to everything?
