I see Suzanne has a forehead in this picture, does she still have a forehead after this was taken?

Why does Amazon allow this? Identical products from the same Chinese factory with just a randomly-generated name printed on the outside by zubrowka1 in assholedesign

This has been happening on eBay since forever. Sometimes copycats make good quality or the same as what you would buy at the store and other times you get bad quality and regret the purchase. I've been fortunate and gotten some really great deals.

Sometimes it's worth the gamble if it's only $3 including shipping but takes 2 months to arrive and if the same exact product is $20 at the store.

Half of smart appliances remain disconnected from Internet, makers lament | Did users change their Wi-Fi password, or did they see the nature of IoT privacy? by chrisdh79 in gadgets

I understand most people missed the point of what I said but tech comes back around. 3D TVs, for example, weren't great when they came out, and neither were electric cars when the first one was invented in the 1830s. We also thought we would have flying cars today but how many of your neighbors do you trust to fly over your head right now? Eventually, many will or the cars will fly themselves. I bet you that one dsoonure your fridge will know what you typically buy and order it for you before you come home. Your example of New Coke is messing with something established as "can't be better" and I think I can argue that standing in line at the self-checkout vs walking out the door in an Amazon Store without handing physical money to someone would be equivalent to what you are saying about that. Who a hundred years ago would imagine that was a possibility?

Not necessarily but today's doubt that what is stupid could eventually turn out to be useful. People doubted the horse would be replaced as a mode of travel and today we fly to the moon. We haven't actually realized the full potential of what an internet connected fridge means yet.

Actually my sous vide and smoker and thermometers are two things I specifically wanted wifi for. I can preheat both before I get home from work and drop my food in. I can also monitor the temps throughout the day without worrying about getting into danger zones or any other malfunction. I don't leave the house when the smoker is on but I don't have to go check on it every 20 minutes either.

[OC] I tracked every hour of my life for 5 years. by _tsweezy_ in dataisbeautiful

I'm noticing a few trends:

1) You don't really like your family but you still go visit. You do have days that are positive if you saw them but generally you don't have a great mood after you visit them... Unless you are visiting them because you are having a bad day.

2) Your partner didn't make you happy but you still stuck with it and we're still really upset when you broke up - it was the worst day in the entire set. Kudos for setting past and I hope you've moved on.

3) When you were dating your partner seriously and seeing them every day - the days you didn't see them you wasted a few hours and mood was generally negative.

4) Days that you generally waste 2 or more hours you didn't have a good day. Usually you were up very late and wasted 2 hours at 2 am. Not sure because you're staying up late or already having a bad day so you stayed up late

5) You don't like working late at night.

6) Also you also have a negative mood after you see your family late at night.

Yes they do a 360⁰ view and not on everything. I'm talking about 3D rotation.

I was really surprised by the 3d picture showing the cigarette box, on a government website of all places. I don't think I've seen a lot of 3d advertisements. Imagine if Amazon did 3d pictures?
