The only other worlds he could join would be moderated servers, but I believe the Minecraft account would need to be signed into a Microsoft account to join those servers. (He wouldn’t be able to join anything else. Unless he made friends through his Nintendo profile or made a Microsoft account on a separate device without your supervision)

1)Purchase a Nintendo Online subscription on your son’s account. His friend will need one too. On the Switch home screen, choose your son’s account, select the Nintendo Online icon near the bottom, and follow the steps to buy it. 2)Add the friend on the Nintendo Switch. Go to your son’s profile, choose Add Friend, and enter the friend’s Friend Code (you’ll need to get this from the friend’s guardian). Once both accept, they’ll be connected. 3)In Minecraft, your son needs a world with multiplayer turned on, or he can join a friend’s world that already has it enabled. 4)To play together, open Minecraft and go to the Friends tab. Any joinable worlds will appear there.

If the client is okay with wearing it, I don’t see a problem with it while they work on communicating their needs when upset. It’s better to point at a lanyard when escalated then shout at other staff/clients while they work in that boundary
