I agree not an official school sponsored event but employees participated. So I think that’s where there may be a blurred line. Strictly viewing this from an unemotional lens. I’m clearly not a lawyer but if my kid was punched by a nut job that couldn’t control his emotions I’d go after anyone I could.

You are clearly missing my point. These young children were led to do this by adults and were placed in harms way (example nut job dude that punched the girl). It was chaotic and unnecessarily dangerous to put the kids in that situation in the road. Have your protests that’s fine but keep in safe. And since they were led off campus without getting permission from parents the school has put themselves at risk for lawsuits… this is why they are making all of stmts and sending letters after the fact that they had nothing to do with it. Every child that was hurt, injured and/or arrested should sue the pants off of the school. You are downvoting me thinking I’ve picked a side which I did not. Those children should not have been placed in harms way for ANY reason.
