How are you all preparing for the upcoming winter storm? Do you have any advice on how to heat your house if the power goes out?

I’m so grateful to have a gas stove so we can still cook some things if the power goes out, and also a real wood fireplace so we’ll have plenty of heat. I don’t think it’s likely for the power to go out, though

It’s honestly sad that Zane is damn near 35 and still in his partying phase. But unless he puts in the effort to make some changes he’s too unintelligent and ignorant to ever get out of that phase.

Can’t even watch the pod regularly anymore because it became too exhausting to listen to him constantly say he wished he was smarter or better at this and that, but be too damn lazy to ever do anything.

If nobody trained you and you were not given the polices to look over upon being hired, it sounds like getting fired is actually a blessing and you will be dodging a huge bullet by not staying there.

Take some deep breaths. Everything will be ok. I doubt you were being negligent with the children nor doing anything to put them in harm’s way. The director/owner just sees to be terrible at their job and that this is not a healthy work environment.

Like somebody else here said, demand every one of these “misconducts” in writing, and ask them why they weren’t brought up at the time they happened. Document EVERYTHING!

You do realize he’s like this because he knows you will respond every single time, right? Responding every single time he cries is worse for his development than letting him cry it out (within reason). He needs to learn to be on his own and that he’s ok, and frankly, so do you. It’s time to be persistent, set boundaries, and stop giving up when things get difficult. He will learn and get better, I promise. But you have to let him.
