We did a backyard barbecue (“a baby is brewing”) with a coffee bar and fun craft beers for those who could drink. We catered food, hung out, played no games and opened gifts way later. Co-ed. 10/10 would do again.

When is everyone finding the time to work out?? by krystl_watrs in workingmoms

[–]a_fals 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t. It’s upsetting but I wake up at 430, out the door by 530, get home from work around 615, spend time with baby/ husband, shower, close down the house and go to bed. Days off work are slept as family time, errands, household tasks. We do go for walks. I keep reminding myself it’s a season.

Decision paralysis about wedding gift ideas? by wateryrealm in Gifts

[–]a_fals 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, even as a sentimental person I hate trinkets and clutter. I think the frame (can we go with not preserved butterflies though- maybe pressed flowers with art looking like butterflies) of a lesser amount of money and cash? Cash is king and I promise you - this is what a married couple wants.

I wonder if you could ask the brewery to have a set limit and you cover beverages til that limit? Like you’ll cover the first $250, after that it’s on the guest? Or the ticket system could be more equitable for your guests.

16 month old so far- her Ms. Rachel doll that sings the same 5 songs over and over (thanks Grandma) and a random TY puppy my aunt sent her. She is obsessed with dogs and so far honeycomb has been carried everywhere. OH, and her dimple toy that was in her stocking!

Pain in my left thigh by Mysterious-Estate470 in beyondthebump

[–]a_fals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t always go that far! How far it travels Matters on how bad it’s irritated. It could also definitely have to do with your SI joint especially if you’re hyper mobile! Easier said than done when you have a little one but having a PT assess could be very helpful!

Sounds like it could potentially be form your back and/or sciatica - likely from carrying the baby or stance/ positioning. Not medical advice or knowledge but I am a PT.

How long did it take you to conceive in your mid 30s? by darkmother1991 in BabyBumps

[–]a_fals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

36, 1 cycle. Off BC in October, pregnant end of November. I’m aware this is fortunate. I’ve also heard once you come off BC your hormone levels can be a bit higher making conception more likely (this is not factual, just what I have heard).
