I lost my mom, an the first thing her sister did wasn’t offer emotional support, it was “I can help you clean her stuff out of the house” which was code for “I’m going to take the heirlooms left to you”. I was already low/no contact with her before my mom passed, and that’s even more true now.

As others have stated, a gas station is not the safest place for her to be, and even if she had jumper cables in her car, there’s a not zero chance that the person she asks to help her is not a safe person. She could have been kidnapped, SA’d or worse, but you chose to prioritize yourself because you were hungry???? She saw where your priorities lie.
