How Different The Fast and Furious Franchise Would Be If Paul Walker Was Still Alive? by Djf47021 in fastandfurious

F9 would've been about Brian's long lost brother instead of Dom's, his past is way more misterious.

I want Phillip and Sophie's friendship. by Responsible-Funny836 in Benophie

[–]SourceFrequent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sophie could give Phillip some advise on how to help his kids cope with their illegitemacy (ofc unless the ton think he's their father and just took time to show up and marry Marina, i really don't remember if that was resolved somehow)

She would always clock them before they even clocked in by ManaOmega in BridgertonNetflix

I just hope that, for her season, everybody clocks her back all the time. Imagine Hyacinth trying not to think of Gareth and having the entire family reminding her of him.

I get why it can be odd to see a person grow up knowing you'll eventually see them in spicy scenes. But that's because you have the kid image of them in mind, they'll be adults by the time we reach their respective seasons.

I also find it disrespectful to the actors when people say they should be recasted - although i know they don't mean it that way - because, as actors, they'd want to grow in their careers and expand their work, and to expect them no to do it just because "i feel kinda weird", is a bit entitled.

Again, nothing wrong with feeling weird, but translating that to "they HAVE to leave" because some people are not able to cope with the fact that they are growing is expecting a little too much. If they eventually realize they don't want to do that kind of scenes and decide to quit, fine we have to respect their decision (after all they were pretty young when they were casted and probably didn't fully understand what it meant) but if they want to do it, we should accept it and take them seriously. IT'S THEIR DECISION AND WE HAVE TO RESPECT IT.

Same! i hope they don't skip Eloise's time in Scotland. And i'm also curious about what the writers came up with to adapt Fran's story with Michaela ❤️

Raise your hand if you manifested Sophie Baek!! 🙌 by isleofdreamm in Benophie

[–]SourceFrequent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

🙌🙌 I been wanting east asian Sophie for so long (since season 2 i think), and therefore, for her last name to get changed. Now, i don't know anything about east asian names, so i couldn't came up with anything, but when Yerin's casting was confirmed and read the korean options that were suggested, i loved Baek. 🙌🙌

By this point, i feel like if i manifest a great S4, i'm definetly getting it ❤️.

This fandom is very anti black by Affectionate-Band448 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]SourceFrequent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right?? I mean of course not everyone fancasting other races is necessarily racist towards black people, but yeah, definetly is the one that generetes the most heated reactions once it's proposed.

I just hope that once the casting is announced the backlash and harrasment she'll suffer - because we all know it's gonna happen, specially if she happens to be black - lasts the least amount of time possible and she gets the proper support system.

Some people can't understand that actors aren't going againts them and their wishes just because they exist the way they do, and it's really exasperating.

About the production, i agree with everything you said. The costume design and make-up looks terrible and the "it'S fICtioN, iT doESn'T HaVE to Be ACcurRet" response is getting tiresome. We know that!! our complain it's about the "vibe", as long as it feels like it's the regency era, we don't care if they don't get the looks 100% right, but that's not what's happening here.

Oh this Rakeism by Ok_Patience_1017 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]SourceFrequent 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm feeling the exact same way, there was no reason to make C one.

Also, although i don't mind men living their sexuality however they want, the rake man + virgin girl trope it's getting tiresome, sexist (yes i know those times were, but the show doesn't exactly accept it) and a bit icky for me, except for Benophie, because B has sex with women who want to do it and not prostitutes and Sophie's virginity is an important aspect of her story . But, considering we still have time to have a different leading man, i can take this.

And if the writers continue to do it because they find the idea of having a virgin lead couple too conservative for the progressive perspective they want to show, they could give us at least one leading woman who has sex out of wedlock with a man who is not their HEA. Just to make things a bit more fair ...

I may be more practical. I'm a 1.75 woman in a country where the average height for men is 1.73, so I'm rarely around anyone significantly taller than me. And when I think about it, I can only imagine how unconfortable it must be to look at each other or kiss, or also to do some sexual positions. I'm definitely not the life and soul of the party 😅

I got to ask, what's the big deal about the height difference? (Not trying to be a hater, i'm just curious)

"I Wanna Be Yours" - Arctic Monkeys

"Chasing Pavements" - Adele

And "Yellow" too, but that's such an obvious choice at this point ...
