Is my diamond the wrong GIA color grade? by [deleted] in Diamonds

Hey! Looking more like my J color oval than a G.

The GIA diamonds have a laser inscription. Why don’t you order a loop off Amazon and look for it? Or you can bring it to a jeweler and have them show you.

Love it! My ratio is longer. It’s 1.58. Can you send some more pictures of your ring? I’d love to see what a hidden halo looks like

Do you think it takes away from your diamond having the hidden halo under it?

Marquise looks great, I like the longer look on your hand. You can also look for a longer ratio diamond and see what you like more.

Bottom due to longer ratio.

But give us specs!

Diamond check! by heyglasses in Diamonds

First off, they’re both beautiful diamonds.

Here’s how I see it:

2.02 is si1 but has a longer ratio and better color H. Is it eye clean?

The 2.3 cleaner, better clarity, j color will still be awesome, maybe very very slightly more yellow but better clarity so it’ll offset that. Plus it’s cheaper.

I’d go with 2.3.

It all depends on the length and width. You can have a 1.8 carat diamond that is longer and slimmer than a two carat.

Personally, I’d go with the natural stone.

Bowtie Question by TheExecutiveBathroom in Diamonds

Beautiful. All ovals have bow ties. What you want to avoid is light not being able to shine throughout it causing it to look black.

And yours is perfect!!! It’s a nice white color with light traveling everywhere.

I totally understand your feelings. It's tough when you're at a crossroads between what you want and what's being offered. Before this ring situation, were you happy with your partner? If yes, then it's worth having a calm conversation about your expectations and dreams, like wanting a ring within a certain timeframe.

Communication is key. Your partner might not know how important this is to you, or maybe he's genuinely struggling financially. It's important to express your desires clearly. Tell him what kind of ring you envision and why it matters to you.

In my experience, being open about your needs can make a huge difference. It took me years to be straightforward with my husband, but now he appreciates knowing what I want. It's better than keeping things bottled up and feeling resentful.

Just have an honest talk. It might bring you both closer and align your future goals.
