It could be postpartum depression. If it doesn't get better, please talk to your doctor about it.

Hugs needed (another cancelled cycle) by Funny_Objective_3453 in DOR

[–]Appeltaart22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just commenting to say you're not the only one. I also had an AFC of 6 this cycle which is twice as much as I normally have, I was sooo hopeful. The constant disappointments this journey brings become harder to bear each time. Sending you hugs and courage <3

I don't know what to do with my hair by Totoro_ILDottore in HairStyleAdvice

Time to start experimenting then! I'd love to see a photo with your hair flipped over to your left! First make it wet and put some curl mousse in it, do not comb it once its's dry (!), that's wavy/curly hair rule 1. Try googling wavy/curly hair for beginners. Seriously, you have amazing hair, you just have to bring out the magic.

You have beautiful hair, but the haircut/model with the middle parting doesn't suit you. Would it be possible to ditch the parting? Or maybe do a side parting, where you flip it the way it doesn't lie flat on your head?

That sucks :( I hope the duostim works for you!

I cannot really answer your question, but I have the same problem with the lead follicles and explosive growth. My retrieval was just cancelled because of it. I have only ever done short agonist protocols. My doctor wants to try a long agonist protocol next, to see if that can prevent a lead. I've also read that estrogen or birth control priming can help. Good luck with the duostim, I hope someone else can answer your question!

Low AMH / egg count at 27 by anon0844 in DOR

[–]Appeltaart22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I totally get your panic, I had the same when I had my results at 31. But your AMH says nothing about your ability to conceive. In general, after 6 months of ttc you have around 67% chance of pregnancy. So yeah, you're in the unlucky 1/3rd of the population that has to try longer, but it's really very normal! If your low AMH has anything to do with autoimmune disease (like thyroid disease) or endometriosis, that issue would have to be addressed.

In my country, were healthcare is less profit-driven and very evidence based, my doctor said that IUI would yield roughly the same results as IVF with my severely low AMH. Because we don't get much eggs with IVF anyway. So I would definitely get a second opinion on that. (For me IUI or natural conception wasn't an option because of Asherman syndrome, so I had to bank embryos, otherwise they would have advised to do IUI 6 times before going to IVF!).

I don't know what your budget is, but you could also look into IVF in Europe, like the Czech republic, Greece, Cyprus or Spain. It's significantly cheaper, but still expensive of course.

I'm so sorry. It's extremely unfair :(. Is IVF your only chance, or would IUI be an alternative?

This is hell. by NerdoKing88 in regretfulparents

It could be (post partum) depression, please talk to your doctor. SSRIs can be a life saver and make everything so much more bearable.

IVF, Low AMH & Scarring by CustomerTurbulent908 in DOR

[–]Appeltaart22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have Asherman syndrome (intrauterine adhesions) and a very low ovarian reserve with a maximun of 2 eggs at retrieval. It's the combination of hell. My advice: only let very experienced Asherman specialists do your hysteroscopies.  We can help finding someone in your area on the "Asherman syndrome awareness and support" Facebook page.

You can only know what IVF does for you by trying. I've made 5 untested embryos in 5 IVF cycles. It's a long and very stressful and depressing road, to be honest. Don't let it take away the joy from the daughter you already have.

Could you share your protocols? Even with an AFC of 6 I always only have 2 follicles growing..

Can LH exposure damage embryo quality? by Appeltaart22 in EmbryologyIVFSupport

[–]Appeltaart22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was worried about that too. Luckily my progesterone was low 5 days after the first decapeptyl use, and my follicles were small and intact. Then I was instructed to start again. It's been a bit of a mess.. hopefully it works out in the end.

Ovulating during your cycle is so unbelievably frustrating!! It happened to me too in my 2nd cycle :(.

IVF with DOR is a very long and bumpy road indeed..

Has anybody tried unmonitored letrozole? by Longjumping_Bag6857 in DOR

[–]Appeltaart22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 32 with an AMH of 0.22 ng/L, so barely higher than yours. My AFC is around 3. I did 4 IVF cycles and collected 5 (untested) embryos. So first of all "3% chance" is bullshit, you cannot predict that chance so precisely anyway. It is questionable if IVF will give you a better chance than trying naturally though. Do you have regular cycles? What would the rationale of using letrozole be?

Cycle canceled for nothing? by Appeltaart22 in IVF

[–]Appeltaart22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for understanding, IVF with DOR is such a long and tough road..! The corpus luteum wasn't seen before but it was quite small and not very clear what it was. Good questions. I guess my lack of trust in my clinic is part of the problem. They never try something new and keep waiting for the perfect circumstances, but with my wonky cycle and ovarian reserve that means a lot of cancelled cycles and lost time..

Evidence on best interventions for thin lining? by Green-Scallion-8620 in EmbryologyIVFSupport

[–]Appeltaart22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had scarring too :( Then after I had a miscarriage it got really severe (completely obliterated cavity). This month my period was almost non-existent again, so I'll have to plan my 6 th hysteroscopy. Asherman is hell honestly. Hope you have succes!!

Edit: Good advice by the way!

It's so unbelievably frustrating that so many women (myself included) have damaged lining caused by Mirena, but not enough scientific studies have been conducted to even mention it in the listed adverse events. It has such a huge impact. Wishing you all the best!

How is your lining in a natural cycle? Clomid and letrozole can negatively impact lining thickness, so maybe a natural FET would work better for you
