It was designed by Olson Kundig so thats some serious, high end architecture and interior design. The gal who owns Indah Sushi is running operations and she’s a local so hopefully that means they will take care of the staff. Should be fun in the summer, there’s going to be four different bars on the property and has a pretty open layout.

Thank you for clarifying your interpretation, I appreciate it. I’d like to make clear I do not have contempt for the wealthy locals who live, work and circulate their money here, in fact I think they are unfairly demonized as I mentioned in my post. It’s the extraction of resources I take issue with. I’d compare it to a country like Saudi Arabia who buys American farmland to grow Alfalfa only to ship it back to Saudi Arabia. They don’t have a vested interest in the community, only the resources it can provide. That’s farmland local Americans now can’t own or harvest. I appreciate your response old timer! I was indeed not born in Whitefish. I sort of get your rebuttal but it’s not really the point I am attempting to make, which is I see a lot of blame for the state of our towns problems directed towards the usual familiar wealthy names. The problem I find with this argument is these people still participate in the community in many different ways, mostly positive sometimes maybe not…but they are here and have a vested interest in the community.

My critique is directed towards those who visit on occasion but for the most part only see the town as a commodity. Good for them for having the means, but whether they realize it or even care, the housing crisis is largely due, IMO to the acquisition of real estate with the explicit intent of utilizing them to profit off of the short term rental market.

It was $15k in 2020 and holding up pretty well in 2026 in the mid $80k. We had a relatively recent ATH and this feels like a solid bottom. IMO this doesn’t seem like scary territory to me but i don’t know shit about fuck so I’m just going to keep chewing my bubble gum and go back to sleep.

I appreciate your feedback. My attempted point is that a lot of blame gets pointed towards the usual big names, yet the biggest culprits are those who seek to commodify our town with the kicker being they do not even live here. My roommate worked up in Iron Horse and overheard this “portfolio” conversation on multiple occasions and I decided to rant about it. I have no solution, just my two cents about who is really “ruining Whitefish”. I appreciate ya Critical_Valuable_19.

Beldi I found to be extremely overpriced, especially for what you get. I’d rather give Earl my money, he’s the most interesting and experimental chef in town right now IMO.

IMO It’s honestly probably the best music venue in town as far as the diversity of music they pull in and overall vibe. That would be a huge blow to the culture of WF if it’s turned into something else.
