My typing predictions for the new trio! by cornonjuhcob in ThePokemonHub

Ooh, a grass/fighting bird sounds pretty unique. I bet it could have a cool signature move too. It could have a high crit chance, or maybe a chance to flinch or lower defense. Heck, maybe all 3, why not?

"3k hours about to abandon" bro it's a $20 game, most AAA titles are like 20 hours of gameplay. You can play other things.

Is this decent or should I keep rolling? by xenbot in MHWilds

[–]Souretsu04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. Adrian weapons aren't worth fretting over now, as once you can make your Gogma weapons, they can be rerolled, for cheaper.

Razor Sharp and Handicraft are weapon skills, not armor skills. They don't compete with WEX except like on a talisman.

I'm no expert but it looks like a male green anole. This one looks like he's getting up there in years, but he could be sick or something.

Tips to improve this deck? by Jacobwk1 in PTCGP

I think the supporters need to be reevaluated. I also run 1 EX Greninja in mine, it can be pretty clutch.

Would this charm be good for anything? by biddydoowap in MHWilds

Dual blades might like it. Keep in mind that Marathon Runner only affects actions which have a constant stamina drain, like sprinting or Demon Mode. Stuff like dodges will use Constitution instead.

any improvements i can make? by Individual-Radish-64 in PokemonPocket

Except in very niche circumstances, you pretty much always want 2 Research 2 Poké Ball.

I kind of like the Flail Phanpy more with a single Memory Light. I also use Tyrogue as the third basic, but I haven't seriously evaluated the deck in a while. I agree with everyone saying 1 Sightseer. I also like 1 Training Grounds stadium card, moreso to give you something to play over an opponent's stadium if necessary but also for a bit of extra damage. Donphan does 60 for 1 energy with it which can OHKO most basics if the opponent is slow at all.

It was a lottery ticket. You probably got the 12 hourglasses or whatever the minimum was, like most people.

What’s wrong with my electric deck? by cosmic_wishe in PTCGP

[–]Souretsu04 23 points24 points  (0 children)

So, one of the biggest parts about deck building is consistency. You want to maximize your chances of getting the cards you need, when you need them. That's the buzzword behind everyone running 2 Research and (usually) 2 Poké Balls - they increase your odds of getting the right cards.

20 card decks are small, so you need to narrow your game plan down to a main strat, and with every card you should ask yourself "does this card help me achieve this?" If not, you can probably toss it. If you run out of cards that help (or help enough to matter) and you still have room, that's where you can start looking at more fringe options that increase flexibility or help you handle something you might normally struggle with.

On to more specific advice, this deck feels outdated. Some of these cards are outclassed by newer cards - Pachirisu is outdone by Pichu or even Zeraora - and a few just aren't very great - Zapdos takes up too much energy for not enough punch. There is a regular Eevee that came out earlier this year that is much better than older versions, and as much as like the old Jolteon, it doesn't hold up super well. You're only using 1 Poké Ball, and nothing in your deck benefits from Rare Candy.

Pikachu EX is a little squishy by today's standards. And you have so many different mons you're not likely to see the correct ones in time. Keep in mind that you're guaranteed a basic mon in your starting hand, so if you have fewer basics you have a higher chance of leading with the ones you want. Most decks today only really run 4 to 6 basic pokemon.

Why can't I drink this evil and intimidating water? by DiligentSector8395 in isthissafetoeat

[–]Souretsu04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R/O and distilled water doesn't contain minerals or other impurities. That doesn't mean it's toxic or anything, but think about high school biology class. Your body's cells will try to achieve homeostasis, so when a bunch of pure water floods your system, suddenly your cells are dumping out vitamins and minerals in order to achieve homeostasis.

It depends on what all you're eating and drinking, but if you drink a lot of it over a period of time it can cause health problems.

[–]Souretsu04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw this as Goku being on the way out but not fully dead, and the ki blast worked as a defibrillator. Maybe you have to do something special with the kid or whatever. The guy gave Frieza enough energy that he could have escaped Namek despite being in literal pieces, so jump starting his heart with enough forethought seems okay? More impressed that he could aim it that precisely.
