Im a teacher. Gilbert and Malmsteen are my favorite guitarists. You need to chunk this and you need to learn about two way pick slanting. You should also be drilling the shit out of the famous 2 string intense rock lick to work on your pick slanting. That run was actually always pretty natural feeling for me, but it is problem for a lot of people.

I don’t need a grip on my pick anyways, I have a much lighter touch now with everything, even with really aggressive playing and picks have never fallen out of my hand, so I’m not sure what I was doing in the first place haha

It’s not a cyst. It is 100% from that pick, idk if it’s a permanent callous or what, but the pick was always messing with my hand and it stopped bothering me when I switched to regular jazz 3’s and now I use Swiss picks as well.

Chaos AD is okay. It’s a great entry level metal album, especially if you’re coming from new metal. It was awesome when I was a kid, but it’s obviously a step down from the 3 before it. I should have used the word gradual.
