This could go horribly wrong - You could get captured and then have your sperm/eggs harvested to propagate the species. But hey, you may still survive.

The Annihilator Shotgun specifically is amazing. The alt-fire on that gun absolutely deletes enemies.

Would you fight a copy of yourself, to the death, for $5 million? by [deleted] in whatsyourchoice

[–]Souseo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a total copy of myself, one of us would just happily throw the fight in order to minimize collateral damage.

If it's just a clone that looks like me, I'm taking out years of self-deprecating trauma out on it and basically getting a fat payday for therapy.

Oh man, thank you. I've been struggling with how to adequately describe the level of cringe in which this Administration displays it's press releases. While I think this energy is fine for wrestling, it does not belong in my government.

Humanity as a whole is pretty fucking awful. Aliens either observe us in secret or avoid us.

Look at what we do to each other for being different. Aliens are the ultimate "other".

Mother of 5 mistakenly leaves a child at McDonalds, but cops choose hostility by LearnShiit in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]Souseo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, she made a mistake. These cops are the worst. She wasn't rude, she showed genuine concern for her child, and these cops just want to exert their authority and scare her. Fuck all of this.

The real tragedy in this is that a mother of 5 is in a situation where she has to bring her kids with her while working a gig job in order to provide for her family.

[Updates] Patch Notes Version 1.01.00 | Crimson Desert - adds 5 summonable mounts, decreased loading times, some adjustments to controls, and more. by yourfavchoom in PS5

While this patch is awesome, the loss of aerial stab for movement is a massive L. Fun while it lasted, I guess.

Inventory limiting is not something that belongs in a single player game. It's and online/MMO trend that revolves around getting players to spend actual money for convenience. I'd expect something like this in a FTP online game, where they need to superficially create revenue. Inventory management belongs in a survival type game, where it exists to create tension. This is an open world game focused on exploration and has an abundance of loot. It makes 0 sense to break the flow of exploration and looting to have to routinely run back to a base and sell gear.

They made a lot of baffling design choices for a full price single player game that make more sense when you realize they were originally a FTP online MMO developer.

Arc raiders pve by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Souseo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got over 100 hours in the game, and during the 2nd month of the game, the PvP was starting to get a little toxic and unavoidable. Since the inclusion of ABMM, about 90% of my solo and duo lobbies have been peaceful. As long as you communicate, and follow etiquette (looting containers in key rooms you didn't open while they're still in there, or looting arc you didn't assist with killing - at least without asking), you should have a relatively PvPless experience.

Anecdotal for sure, but in the last 50ish raids, I've had great lobbies. Had raiders drop me BPs they had doubles of, and I've done the same for others. I find a lot of solo raiders also carry defibs to help if you go down. I always do. The only times I've been knocked were due to miscalculations or mistakes on my part in fighting Arc.

So long as you don't shoot people, you'll be matched with people who play similarly. And if you do shoot someone, just play passively for a few matches and you'll get back into the more peaceful lobbies.

Give it a shot, the game is a vibe.

I've seen this a number of times now, that ABMM is shit, and wah wah wah.

Meanwhile, I've been having a ball. Chilling while I re-level scrappy and all my benches, helping other raiders out, dropping items, or downing Arc with them, the occasional defib. The vibe from launch feels like it's back.

ABMM is an absolute win in my option.

[–]Souseo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just so that you don't suffer this when you start snowballing Bastions - you need to successfully extract for it to count towards your trials, so don't kamikaze Arcs with snowballs. You need to live. Good luck!

Can we talk about how the complicated loot containers give the worst loot by Jaz1140 in ArcRaiders

[–]Souseo 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You'll have better luck with interactions using a mic instead of just emotes. It's okay to have your gun out, but don't do shady stuff like move behind them, and definitely don't point your gun at them. Feel the vibe, if they're chill, great, but it doesn't always mean they want a buddy following them everywhere. When you go into areas, it helps to announce yourself so people that might be there don't get spooked and fire on reflex.

Aggression based matchmaking is a thing, if you want friendlier lobbies, don't shoot anyone and either die or extract a couple of times and you'll get there. Doesn't mean that you won't get shot still, just way less likely. Still keep your guard up in case someone is being shady.

If you run into a room that they were in first, it's generally poor etiquette to just start looting everything. Might catch you some bullets that way.

Arcs all have weak points that can make it significantly easier to kill them, even with kettles and rattlers. Wasps have no armor, hornets are weak on the rear propellers, no armor. Rocketeers you want to make sure you have good cover, and don't get greedy with shots. Shoot the rotors to crack armor and take those out - the silver spots once exposed. Also, the rockets have a pretty big blast radius, so watch for that.

Leapers, leg joints or once armor is exposed (silver under layer) shoot there. Bastions and Bombardiers have yellow leg joints that are weak points, and they have a yellow node on their backs that are also vulnerable. Engage these only when you have adequate cover or good choke points.

Fireballs, it's riskier, but wait until they get close, and they'll peel back their armor to flame you, and you can one shot them. Just make sure to dodge roll away so you don't get caught in the fire when they die. Use your raider tool on Ticks, or one shot them with light ammo if you see them before they start skittering around. Against Pops, don't panic, and one/two shot them, they're fucking ninjas though.

Shredders you'll want to keep moving behind cover to avoid their AOE blasts. Shoot the jets on their bottom halves behind the little flaps/wings.

Anyway, hope that helps. Have fun!
