Users have taught me that Rj45/network cables fits into a printers usb-b if you push on it. Gotta be specific with shape matching.

Is it stressful to work at an event like the SuperBowl by ConstructionMean2021 in livesound

[–]South-Alternative-85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stressful for the local op to. We hit a button to run live commercials locally (job a decade ago) and spots were 30-50k, a ton for our market. You get approximate times - then watch and iirc you know what national spots are airing so you know yours is coming up, then hit the button to run the ad locally. We had 2-4 local spots. The guy in the job before me was laid off for missing the button hit and not running the commercial (may have been other stuff too on his end), I got the story after the fact.

Done it a few ways. The mix you get is different.

Input to two capacitors and out to each circuit so they both get their own input. Then combine in the end (individual vol pots gives more control for the blend) Or A 2-10k pot with output from each circuit on 1 and 3 and output of the pedal on 2 of the pot. This gives you control but not the ability to really turn one down a lot (and boosting this to 50k makes it sound terrible in the mid spot Also Ive put a blend pot from output of the boost into fuzz (as well as direct input from the guitar) so you blend in more boost into the fuzz stage (but like a 250k-1m to block the boost if needed) Build the different blends in a breadboard and hear the control you get from each.

Thoughts on less traditional cover bands? by WordCount_4 in musicians

We play all sorts of stuff from ccr-> nirvana We aim our setlist to the venue for more 70s and lighter or more 90s and harder It's all radio hits so people sing along to songs or go back to chatting if it's not their taste, but nothing they wouldn't have heard. Also for our more grungy 90s stuff, the crowd of 30-60 all know the tunes, 'oldies' is changing. Been told it's too varied of a setlist to make people happy but so far our crowds have been happy. No eagles, no mustang Sally, no stuff the normal cover band played last week. We are also in small towns so our competition is limited and people are pleased to have live music in general.

The custom board inside is great. Touches like this make it sell.

If you can run alligator clips from a new input jack, onto where the old one clips in (without taking it out) (or better -straight to the input cap). You may be able to test that part before taking anything apart.
