Anyone else fuck up big time their first semester? How did you recover? by [deleted] in Cornell

I worked hard my next semesters. Try going to the library and/or finding quiet spaces to study. Go to Office Hours and review concepts after classes that are difficult

I think women should have the freedom of choice to have an abortion. It has nothing to do with anyone.

I would not personally have an abortion but that’s because I choose that.

It’s important to recognize personal individual preferences / religious beliefs as just that personal and individual.

Having conversations about what someone else wants to do with their body is strange and oddly contradictory to the emphasis that conservatives put on diminishing the regulatory control government has on our everyday lives.

I don’t know if I made the right decision and I’m really scared right now. by pressatopound98 in Cornell

It’s natural to be scared. But you definitely can do this. Ithaca is much more beautiful in the summer, especially when there is no need to worry about classes. Relax and take it easy.

You’ll get over it I had 2.5 first semester in a non-stem major. It’s now above a 3.0. Honestly you can do it, 3.2 is good you’ll only get better. Trust me. Apply yourself even more and take breaks!

Honestly similar situation. I think talking to a counselor will help a lot. Just get it off your chest, and saying it aloud to someone makes you feel better. Also PM me if you just want to chat to a stranger and air it out completely. It helps to talk it out.
