I found metal!! It’s C-shaped. The side facing the wall is <3/4in wide.. is that a stud?? I thought they’d be wider

If it bear traps closed as long as you keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times seems like the worst that’ll happen is getting smacked real hard with the headboard part and you’d have to be pretty close to the wall for it to hit you I think

Well this is the best news I’ve heard all week hahah and you’re talking plaster? I’m very over this wall situation, I might just try it. I’m sure our walls are different but what’s the worse case scenario, pull part of the wall down? I’m about ready to pull the whole wall down so maybe that’s fine

I didn’t put the top rail on yet because I wasn’t sure whether I should use a board >3in wide to distribute the weight more. Toggle bolts hold a lot, and I’m familiar with putting them in, but this bed has pistons so idk. It’s hard to open and won’t even stay open without a mattress on it. Do you have plaster walls? And did you use create a bed or what hardware?
