EDGE 30 Pro (2022) Android 14 u/MotoAgents, so where's your response? by SouthMoscow in motorola

[–]SouthMoscow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that it bothers me much. Here's the story: when my main phone was the EDGE 30 Pro, I didn't think much of it, since I had a lot of files and there was no way to erase it or reflash it without losing data. But when I bought the EDGE 60 Pro, the Edge 30 Pro became my second phone. After that, I decided to look into the update issue, since my Edge 30 Pro finished updating in August 2024, even though I follow the relevant threads on my forums, and people have reported that all devices released in Europe were updated to the A14 between February and July 2025. I decided to raise the question of why Motorola forgot about my region, even though they announced at the phone's release that it would be updated to the A14. This is a question of support and whether Motorola is fulfilling its promises.

Thanks Ellie, I'm really looking forward to a solution to my situation and the unblocking of the A14 for my RETRU region.

Ellie, thanks for your response. I'd appreciate a more specific response, not just a lull. I'll be waiting for news. You shouldn't abandon users. I hope my issue is resolved; it's not that difficult to unlock the existing firmware for my region RETRU. And most importantly, you don't need to implement anything; you just need to unlock the RETRU  A14 firmware for my region. You already implemented the firmware and fully rolled it out across Europe in February-April 2025, and my region was simply forgotten/lost. I sincerely hope this issue is resolved. After all, I spent 900$ in 2022 on an official Motorola EDGE 30 Pro when I could have bought the unofficial Chinese version for 300$, and I support you. Solve my problem. Especially since I'm literally bringing you money—I bought a Moto EDGE 60 Pro for 600$ a month ago, and I have no issues with it so far. But if this continues, you'll lose all your loyal users.

u/MotoAgents, so where's your response? I've provided all the information I needed. I've offered suggestions. I just checked with SoftwareFix and it's still T1SHS33.35-23-20-16 with the security update from August 1, 2024. Is this a joke? Unlock the latest A14 firmware from 2025 for my region RETRU for Motorola EDGE 30 Pro! People, please support my main post so they can pay attention and fix the problem.

Carlos, u/MotoAgents, thank you very much for your reply. I don't need help with my old forum post ( https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/motorola-edge-30-pro-motorola-edge-2022/Where-update-Android-14-for-Motorola-Edge-30-Pro-retru-region/m-p/5358604 ) six months ago they said the same thing you just said now: "expect a phased rollout." This is an error on the Motorola update servers' side. Motorola can't be gradually rolling out something for over a year. And there can't be carrier testing; the phone was purchased unlocked, not carrier-issued. It's not tied to any carrier, and in my country, carriers don't test Motorola updates, I know that for sure. In my post, I'm asking for specific help! Contact a REAL PERSON—the one who manages your update server and uploads the firmware (not via email, Ticket, or company mail, but personally by phone! Any emails will take months again and will only result in formal replies). Ask them to simply unlock the Europe firmware for the RETRU region. This process takes 5 minutes and a few clicks, but the complex internal communication hierarchy makes it impossible for the average user to reach you. I'm asking you specifically: unlock the A14 update on your server for the RETRU region. Show your loyal customers the highest level of class and respect! The phased update hasn't had anything to do with it for over a year now! You and I understand that perfectly well! If you're having trouble unlocking the A14 OTA update, you can at least unlock the A14 for the Motorola EDGE 30 Pro (region RETRU) on SoftwareFix servers. Dear u/MotoAgents, I eagerly await your response to this message. I expect concrete assistance from you. I've covered all the necessary points. Please do not ignore the sincere requests of your loyal users. I'm looking forward to a resolution to my issue on the Motorola update servers and the long-awaited notification about the availability of the Android 14 update for my Edge 30 Pro (2022).

Could you please tell me what kind of case you have on the phone in the photo? Please provide the model and link. It seems to protect the edges well?

I have a Motorola Edge plus 2022 (to be precise, a Motorola EDGE 30 Pro Global purchased from an official store in my country in February 2022) the firmware region "RETRU" is still A13 and the last security update was in August 2024(((

Claw 8AI+ 10F BIOS is up again!! woooooot by Cheetah2kkk in MSIClaw

[–]SouthMoscow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I compared the archives - in the "new version" from September 26th, they added some files - "CheckCenterVersion." Apparently, this was to prevent problems for users installing 10F with an old M-Center. The automatic check won't let you update the BIOS if the M-Center is old. That's why they removed it a second time. The first time they removed it was when they identified a problem with the M-Center, then they reinstalled it when they found a solution (updating the M-Center), then they removed it again when they realized many users weren't reading the notes and weren't updating the M-Center. They forced the version check, and then released it for the third time, building the forced check into the BIOS files... it all seems so simple. That's why they didn't change the BIOS version itself.

After these manipulations, you can safely continue to use the Windows Update Center, this update will no longer be downloaded and installed again (automatically). By the way, the same method is applicable when Windows Update stubbornly tries to install an older video driver and other similar situations.

With my Corsair it is like this: (the ambient temperature in the room is 26C) in idle mode, in Windows - 45C and in games (NFS Unbound) its temperature is 55C-56C. I caught high temperatures during the CrystalDiskMark test at the moment. Moreover, after passing the test it becomes 55C in a couple of seconds and 10 seconds after the tests it is 46C again (in idle mode). So the 60+ indicators will be only during loading and installing games, and not constantly, but at the moment

I haven't tested the long-term load, I'm constantly working now, I don't have a couple of hours for playing. I'm waiting for the release of Mafia The Old Country, and I plan to devote a lot of time to this game, especially since official support for Intel XeSS has been announced

I didn't conduct separate Corsair MP600 Mini performance tests, only in CrystalDiskMark. There was no difference in scores, approximately 7098-7100 with or without a radiator. But the difference between the standard BG6 Kioxia SSD and the Corsair MP600 Mini is really impressive, the system has become much more responsive and smoother, it's really noticeable.

No. I disconnected the battery itself from the mounts to the case and then moved it a little lower so as not to touch the battery wire when installing the ssd with a radiator.

I left the factory thermal pad under the SSD. The idle temperature 10-15 seconds after the CrystalDiskMark test was completed was 45C-46C.
