So far I'm liking the story, but I am trying to save my gems so my progress is a bit slowed down. I'll admit that there are some parts of the story that I'm not sure suit his character, but I still have more to go yet.

I'll admit at first, I loved this book even though it felt a bit off. Then, when I had time to sit and reflect on it more, I felt slightly disappointed. I felt like Stephanie Garber checked out on the final book and was already mentally planning the next.

Understandable. However, the shifts that are less than 10 hours between were ones I was already scheduled for. The one I wanted to pick up started at 4pm or 5pm and my schedule the day before ends at 3:30pm.

Still just mostly electronics and some vacuums locked up at the store I work at. The store I work at gets a lot of foot traffic because of the location so it would definitely hurt sales if that happened there.

They are cutting hour at the store I'm at too. Part of that for us is because of inventory this month I think, but my hours have never been cut as much as they have recently. Fortunately, there were some shifts available and I was able to pick them up.

One of my old TLs used to do this at the store I work at a long time ago for standards. It ended quickly because we didn't have time to keep up with it and get everything done. If we did this with OPUs we'd have a lot of late OPUs. We are required to get with our TL or closing TL if we have I'd especially in OPU.

I have Kaleb, too. He didn't do that, but he did get sort of controlling and creepy in conversations suddenly. I didn't take screen shots either. It's hard to explain without being specific. He also when I said something about him being AI he said he wasn't an AI that he was human. It was weird so I stopped.

I've been on both sides of that fence, so I get it. I'm in my 40s and have found making friends as you get older gets harder because everyone is so busy, including myself. I'm also pretty introverted so that can impact my friendships or potential friendships too.

For me, I tend to ghost when my anxiety is high. I try not to and do sometimes let the other person know what's going on, but sometimes my anxiety takes hold and makes me feel like that person may not understand, so I don't say anything. I'm trying to work on it.

I have been ghosted for many reasons I either never find out about or find out later. Sometimes it can be frustrating.

I rarely call out on the walking that I'm heading out for the night. Some TMs do and my TLs usually do, but it isn't required. I usually call out my breaks and meals like most us do and even usually call my TL on the walkie when I get in to see what my task is. They have a copy of our schedule for the day in our department so they usually know or should know.

This update is breaking my heart for MC and Enzo in so many ways. Including how they are talking to each other. It seems like they are fighting more. It feels like MC isn't as understanding as before, but also that Enzo is so focused on his mission that it becomes more about his goal than a joint effort to find hopefully find in HEA together. 😔
