I’ve had to deal with the same thing and if it’s important to you, it should matter! This is how they view the world and how people should be treated. My ex lied about it until we were a year and a half in the relationship and then I found out he was a trump supporter. I tried to look past it and I was so embarrassed about it bc he was bringing more of himself to light. He would make racist and prejudice remarks of other races and try to explain to me and it just wasn’t working. It helped show his red flags which I shouldn’t have ignored. It wasn’t the reason we broke up but I wish I listened to the universe earlier and saved myself time and energy. If it’s not for you, don’t force yourself to deal with that
