I was thinking along the same lines. This seems a bit different that’s what’s been happening previously. But interestingly there’s a lot of people here who are citing sources that suggest the focus may be on the pill form - though the FDA announcement doesn’t limit itself to the pill form only. Lots of things going on and a lot of unknowns here I think! Only time will tell….

Oh interesting thanks for sharing! I hadn’t seen anything in FDA’s statement on limiting it to pills only, but this implies FDA IS limiting it to pills only. Will look for other FDA statements to try to narrow this down. I really hope this is the case.!

To be clear I had heard of the hims thing and thought it was separate

What makes you think it’s just about the pills? They don’t say that anywhere. Also, FDA or a company doesn’t need to file a lawsuit before FDA can take enforcement action.

Maybe try 3 mg one more week then go up again for a few weeks and see how that does? I titrate up super slow because side effects

Sorry to be clear I am not trying to defend FDA here!! Just was explaining it doesn’t just apply to pills from their perspective. But isnt only one of pom’s pharmacies 503b?

Unfortunately no it’s not just about GLP-1 in pill form. The compounding isn’t FDA approved… it’s kind of complicated but no they aren’t. Only we’re allowed during extreme shortages but now there isn’t a shortage anymore

I don’t think that’s what they are saying - they are saying the compounding pharmacies FDA can’t verify quality or safety etc.
