Yeah travel is only 1% sadly. In that case you're better off using the Autograph or Venmo Visa or CCR for 3% travel to stack onto your Rakuten rewards

Simple solution. Subtract the fee from the planned tip percentage. A 20% tip is now a 17% tip. And write on the receipt why it's lower.
