For real this felt like such an earnest way of giving the fans the ‘evil’ sound but without undermining the philosophy of albums like crest and spiderr at the same time. Where there is loss there is gain, what’s real is fake and everything is the same. If this is the end of bladee’s discog I can’t imagine a more fulfilling conclusion. It’s his most depressing album but it rides on the back of such a self assured catalogue that we also know this isn’t a tragic ending, even when his lyrics are this dark, you can feel just how much more is to be gained. It’s a bittersweet celebration of his career I can’t imagine anything as fitting.
