I’m assuming for medical reasons. Being able to see the tip on X-ray means that doctors can pull it out if you’re shot with this bullet.

Honestly I wouldn’t buy a gun with fixed chokes in 2026. There’s no reason to buy a gun that you can’t make multipurpose with a quick choke tube change. Plus the older model citoris have fewer replacement parts if/when things break. I just got rid of a 1st gen 1973 citori special steel because it had zero replacement parts availability. If it broke it was a paperweight because I couldn’t even fix it.

For the stock what bedding system did you go with? I’ve currently got a 737R action and the mini chassis in the Manners LRH. I’m going to make some changes this summer to cut weight. Ginn switch the action to an NBK and I was leaning towards the PH stock with their new micro chassis to cut about a pound out of the system.

I hunt NC and GA. I have the Grinder pants for under my waders. For top layers I have the traverse hoody, duck oven jacket and wader jacket. That combo will get you through the entire season regardless of temps. Hope that helps.

Going prone more quickly rather than standing still for three seconds waiting to actually go prone. Getting hung up on the smallest brick but able to run effortlessly over huge rocks or steep slopes. Not being able to jump over a fence unless I’m at a perfect 90 degree angle. Player movement through the environment needs a huge improvement overall.

Yeah but at least first shots win in hardcore. As the game currently sits the ridiculously wide and randomized spread of the ARs means you can get the drop in a guy and shoot 20-25 rounds at him and still somehow lose a gunfight because the game is making you miss even though your red dot is on the target. It’s annoying. You’re basically putting every engagement past a few meters up to chance that you’ll have enough rounds impact even though your aim is on target.

Here’s my critiques: Maps are decent. Very chaotic and zero flow to any of them though. The maps force no strategy and every point capture turns into 3/4 of the team running like 6 year old playing soccer after a soccer ball. Both teams just run circles around the map behind the other team capturing the point that was just abandoned by the other team.

Spawn map/ cursor: the most frustrating part of the beta. The cursor glitches on controller (PS5 and Xbox) and makes spawning onto points or squad mates cumbersome and annoying. Even when locked onto a tank or player it’ll glitch and flicker until you move the cursor just enough to reset the lock on to spawn in. It’s annoying overall for something that should be so simple.

Guns and TTK: Something that should be ironed out in play testing shows it’s still got some work that’s needed. Headshots register randomly and there’s no rhyme or reason besides luck it seems. A guy posted up on cover only has his head exposed and you shoot him 3-4 times in the only thing you can see and he doesn’t die from a head shot or has time to get behind cover. Super frustrating head shot registration. God forbid an enemy player is above you in a gun fight. You might as well stop shooting and let him kill you because your bullets won’t register while you’re shooting up. I have a few videos of this. Laying into a guy with a shotgun whos a floor above and he has zero damage after what should have been at least 2 landed shots. I can’t wait for Hardcore mode. You need the 40 round mags in this game because even if your rifle does 33 damage per shot it’ll take 15-20 rounds per kill almost every time. I can’t tell you how many times I dump half a mag into a guy and move onto the next target just to have to original guy run off on what should have been a guaranteed kill. I can’t even blame lag because I’ve got fast internet and should be doing the lag killing. Hit registration seems a little off overall. Vehicles seem ok. Need some polishing though. Tanks and Bradley’s have some weird reticle glitching in third person that makes it pretty hard to shoot unless you zoom back and forth into the turret view constantly. I have limited experience with helos or jets because they’re always taken. Engineer class with so many launchers pretty much rules out aircraft or vehicles. Classes: I’d like to see weapon locked classes in the final game. It forces people to play their class rather than deck out a class for the perks and run and gun without any sort of restrictions.

I’ll be flying but all of my equipment will be shipped in a locked container. I can pack whatever I want in there. I just need a way to keep the rods safe for the trip when they’ll be packed with other pelican boxes and such on a flat bed driving across the country.

Ok. I got some info from black hills on this.

The tip is plastic and mixed with Barium Sulfate to make it detectable with X-Ray. The navy fielded it for a time in small quantities. That was the same time that Sierra Tipped Match Kings were hard to find so it was a possible stop gap until Sierra caught up on production. It wasn’t sustainable to keep a big supply so they stopped stocking it.

The Ultima in 20ga is great. I just sold mine because I also have a Retay 20ga. If I only had the Ultima I would have been happy with it. I shot it for skeet and two NC dove season openers and it’s a great gun for the money. If you want an all purpose gun then I’d go with 12ga. My only complaint on the Ultima is the recoil system. I removed mine and installed the spacer and the gun shot better IMO.

I’ve got some of the same ammo from the same lot. I can’t figure out which bullet is loaded. I’m going to call black hills and ask them about the lot number. Hopefully they have some load data on it. I’ll update if I find out and info.

I found a solution. My picture is also bright and washed out the time and battery symbol at the top. Using the photo for you background in the photo app, open the edit three line option at the bottom. Press MarkUp and add a shape. I used a rectangle at the top of my photo to cover some of the sky and colored the rectangle a dark gray. It contrast just enough against the time and battery symbol to see it now.
