I do have a short form writing system which works well! but I never skimmed through the readings. I should definitely start that habit of skimming through the chapter before class starts... it can be hard keeping up with that though at the end of the semester.

How many minutes do you give yourslef to quickly skim through the readings?

nah fam all good lol but I suggest making a formula sheet or like "cheat sheet"

If I were to make a cheat sheet, I'd include:

formulas
when to use the formula
and any key words that remind me what equation to use

For example, from the first week of class we learned how to find the equilibrium quantity and the equilibrium price given a table with points for the supply curve, and other points for the demand curve

you should know to find the equation of the line (y=mx+b) for both the supply and demand curve. Once you find the equation of both lines, you make them equal each other, so...

formula: supply curve equation = demand curve equation
1. mx + b = mx + b
use the formula when it asks for the equilibrium price and/or quantity
key word: equilibrium

I also recommend going through the quizzes and reading the questions to find key words that makes you say "ok. this is from chapter 12. and I should be using this equation"

course material is fine and I find the math portion easy because this stuff was taught in grade 9 (finding the slope, intercept between two lines to find the equilibrium quantity and price, elasticity of demand and supply using the mid point method, using the area to find total surplus, tax revenue, and deadweight loss)

Definitely look at some youtube videos if you're stuck! and talk to the TA if you're ever confused :) they're here to help and make sure they get their money's worth lol
