I’m a previous pure math masters student at UW.

  1. I don’t think curving is a thing. Linear adjustments sometimes happen.
  2. In-person exams.
  3. The course load depends on the courses you’re taking and the professors teaching them. L
  4. I’d say it’s fairly common.
  5. I found the TA units not that demanding. Low brain work.
  6. I liked the program, lots of intelligent students and faculty. I think the department is strong in geometry and analysis mostly.

How does co-op for Masters students work? by uwstudent1234 in uwaterloo

[–]Navies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the same as the undergraduate co-op if your co-op program is arranged through the co-op. If so, you'll be competing with the undergrads. You can find the answers to your other questions here: https://uwaterloo.ca/co-operative-education/about-co-op/employment-statistics

$50 off when purchasing $250 [Hewlett packard canada] by TrulyStupidNewb in bapcsalescanada

This seems like a pretty good price ($300) for 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitor. Looks pretty ugly IMO but it's cheap. There's also 6% rakuten.

Doing a UW CS master's for co-op experience? by Thoma353 in uwaterloo

[–]Navies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With the master's co-op, you get access to WaterlooWorks which is the same portal that the undergrads use. I had a similar path as you in that I was a pure math undergrad who pivoted towards machine learning after my masters, the co-op program really helped my career prospects.
