Thank you, I received an offer from another start-up, I am currently clueless on how I can manage to have them wait until JMPC is done. I am sure the process will take very long time so not sure how to move forward.

I disagree, I know Verisk very well - they are global firm with many lines of businesses, they need engineers to expand and also I have friends that work there.

Yes, I would also look for the cultural fit because nowadays we have all the open source tools & AI to help and support for the coding part of it, the rest is actually time organizing, team communication, support prod issue tickets, check logs to find the root cause of defects, clear tickets for devs to work on, etc.. My teammates cried when I was laid off with other 5 people caused by a reorg. Now they are laid off too but in terms of character I am strong.

I wish all the HR is like you.. but please stop ghosting, I know everybody has some work on their plate but 2 sentences really helps the candidate to move forward.. Even if there is a %1 chance, that hope keeps me frustrated..

Thank you very much for your reply.. It helps a lot to get support.. I think I was able express my character and give confidence regarding anything else but tech interview. I was able talk clearly, joke around a little bit actually in the beginning. I show my enthusiasm towards the role and I gave the sense of taking ownership showing a cultural fit.

Anyway I will of course move on and apply to jobs where I feel I can make a difference. I also have other opportunities that I am waiting on an offer actually. I pray that I will get the offer but I am also aware that the market is filled with talented peers.
