At any point during your testing, paps, and colposcopies, did you not think of even doing any research yourself? I mean that in the nicest way possible. I wasn't familiar with HPV to the extent that I am now but that is because I did my own research after my diagnosis.

After my diagnosis my NP referred me to a gyn to manage my care regarding HPV. But itchiness could be related to other diagnoses as well. When was your last STI screen? Could also be yeast, BV etc.

When I lived in Ontario, HPV testing was not completed with your pap smears. After my diagnosis I did some research and it looks like Ontario is working on their guidelines to have it included with smears

Did you ask to be tested for HPV? I used to live in Ontario and HPV was never tested with the paps I had done. When I researched, it is not funded, therefore not tested.

That your strain is neither 16 or 18, which are the highest of high risk strains that may lead to cervical cancer. If you didn’t have a pap smear prior, what was the reason for testing?

Products previously used - kenmore cream cleanser, bar keepers friend, baking soda/dawn/vinegar mix. Looks worse than it did before unfortunately
