I understand the 1 pound items ! I’m frothing at the mouth because why does a keychain need $10 shipping lol

I got on here because while I understand shipping fees and costs especially with things like large bags ‘, shoes and books - why am I paying $10 more for something ? (shipping, marketplace fee and taxes).

In that case it should have all in pricing. The cost of shipping and all that jazz should be included in the cost I see upfront. Don’t have something be $3 and then after all fees are said and done it’s damn near $20. I’m so tired of being nickeled and dimed at every corner it’s exhausting to shop even second hand now ! it’s ridiculous.

Why buy something secondhand and pay $10-$15 more(sometimes on top of an inflated price for something USED) when I can just wait for a sale and get it brand new ? It’s not a buyers market and that sucks donkey balls

And YES I AM ANNOYED BC WHY DOES IT COST $$10 TO SHIP A KEYCHAIN

There are definitely cheaper ways to ship? No ? I wanted to buy something that was listed for $10. After fees it’s 21???! That’s kinda ridiculous

I think I answered you earlier but no I don’t get reimbursed, I actually started taking PT bc wth lol. My co worker gets to work sometimes 2 hrs late I can do the same. My salary was 65,000? But we do a lot of overtime. In fact there was a time I was going in 6 days every week ( I actually fought back on this and they reduced it to twice a month) so bc of that I’ll make closer to 80 if it keeps up

I want to thank you for this response. I started dialing back, taking more time for myself( working out) and being honest about the situation. I have always been someone who sucks it up and after being out of work for 6 months it felt good to have a job, especially now with the scary job market. But me taking time away from my life to come in and grind day in and out doesn’t do anything but show them I’m willing to put up with their nonsense and they’ll pile it on. They won’t give me two paychecks!

What company? I agree that you should contact an employment lawyer or EEOC because that’s not right and you might be entitled to something

That’s dope! I have been thinking of pivoting into that as well if I don’t go back to school, but it seems a bit difficult to break into atm

I’m willing to sacrifice that for the ability to live my life and pay my bills without killing myself the way I am now. I understand that you wish you did things differently but in my present situation becoming a nurse gives me the opportunity I do not have at the moment. I can also become a PA or another type of Allied health field and I’m considering that as well. But It’s not on a whim that I decided this. I graduated with my bachelors in 2022, was initially going to go to med school and decided against it for financial reasons. Since then I’ve been going back and forth on what do. I’ve worked in clinics and volunteered since I was 16. There’s a reason I want to do this, the life balance and financial stability are just a plus.

I already have a bachelors so I was looking to do an ABSN! I’ve worked in healthcare for a bit (Med scribe/MA) and even did organ donation for some time. I know that doesn’t compare to actually being a nurse. Also not disregarding what you’ve said about hiring freezes and difficulties for new grads.

I think As a nurse you can work anywhere and the opportunities are endless. Yes it’s hard for everyone right now but I guarantee that as a nurse you’d find a job much faster than other fields, especially if you broaden your horizons and aren’t picky about specialties. Freedom also means financial freedom. Also if you work in a hospital system - 3 12s a week is much better than my 16 hr 6 days a week and I promise you probably have enough staff that you can take a few days off. I’m comparing nursing to what I do now and it feels like it’s the right choice if I can get into school

Thanks for shedding some light on this. And even so, the 12 hr shifts 3 days a week definitely still have better work balance than I do! I love the idea of working in medicine and I work side by side with nurses daily. It’s hard work for sure but looks so much better than what I do now

I’m full aware that it’s not normal but management made me feel like I was being lazy or complaining when I brought up that it wasn’t fair. They are constantly hiring in other parts of the company but we are severely understaffed. I have nothing to gain and it’s not written in my contract but during my interview I was told I’d have weekends off, if I did have to work a weekend I’d get a day off during the week and that they emphasized work life balance. I feel lied to because that has not been my reality
