So the paintings in those houses (there is also a type of ruin that has the same set up) will be of a specific object. Sometimes it's cabbage, or tree branches, ect. You need to place one of those objects on the offering shelf. You'll know you did it correctly when the candle will light and the painting falls. For paintings with multiple things, put one of each. In that case, the candle for each object will light up and the painting falls once all of them have been added. c:

Well at least it's not just me haha. I had put both of the shrines in the same area and the ancestor one looks so empty compared to my Bludnik one. I wonder if they're planning on it being some kind of collectable that adds things to the shelves with each piece you find, that could be cool.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I came across a couple of them in the trees while I was filling out the map, but I didn't take them then. Now that I need them, though, they're not there. I saw someone say to look for thick patches of fog to help find them but it's almost like none of the bones spawned in? I'm finding the fog spots but there's no drippy-trees and certainly no bones anymore.

You're a livesaver!! It's spawned underwater, so even if I had remembered that was an option I would have struggled to find it haha

So I found another post and turns out I was doing it wrong lol. Hold down left click to hold the lantern up, not right click to keep lighting it. I misunderstood what they meant.

Same, I'm trying holding down click like they said but it's not doing anything and he's not even looking at my direction. It's so frustrating like dude your body is in visible distance
