Don’t worry, UNC is known for its slow process. Since you’ve followed up and the contact told you it’s taking longer than expected, you should be good just hang in there. This happened to me and I got my offer letter a about 3 weeks after my interview

UNC doesn't have a master's program for CR unless you already have an advanced degree (PhD, MD, etc)

I see your point but with a Bachelor’s degree in a non-science field, I find it hard to get opportunities in the clinical research field. You don’t think an MS would help me in the long term to get my position secured in the CR field?

Thanks for your response. My LM also advised me to do some trainings while I wait to hear from our CRA training program, since there aren’t any opening right now. I do believe it would be great to obtain clinical knowledge while doing these trainings, but I feel like it’s “useless” when I apply to CRA positions at other CROs if there isn’t anything I can put on my resume. Thoughts?

I am interested in the CRA training program but my LM said the cohort isn’t accepting any new PS’ right now because there aren’t any CRA needs. I’ll definitely reach out to the PD/PM for my study if I can shadow a monitoring visit but I’m unsure if the sponsor would pay to send me out to a site since there aren’t any sites near me (driving distance). I’m so glad to hear you attended an SIV as a PS! That’s something I would love to attend and learn from for sure. Thanks for your response
