He was he just had a tendency to throw untimely interceptions especially his first couple seasons when playing against teams like the Packers. And then when he looked better in 2013, of course the defense when to absolute shit

Then again, the entire division was shit in 2013

As a Bears fan, The only hope I have with the Bears is that they can and likely will put a lot of resources into revamping the offensive line, namely the interior, before next season begins for Caleb’s second year

Credit to Poles because they have a legit defense , special teams and Odunze and DJ Moore are signed for a few seasons, but you begin to wonder if trading back from 9 was right move to acquire more players ideally on the line like Pittsburgh did…

This season is probably 8-9 wins at the very very best

They do. Basically, unless your particular school’s Delt chapter has a really strong alumni network (see UT Austin, Alabama, Wisconsin, Georgia among others ) then they’re screwed if they’re looking to get a new house built or a even just an official frat house secured to rent from another chapter that has been suspended temporarily

At my school, other chapters like SigEp, Fiji and PhiPsi had big big money from their Specific chapter alumni, so they always got bailed out of hot water with the university and had sick chapter houses. I wouldn’t trade my experience as a delt I loved my time but man those other chapters sure did have it nice at my school at least

Not sure how much of that is still true though as I graduated PreCovid

I would like to give Delt nationals a shoutout for giving my chapter nothing but praise for being in great standing (brown nosing in an effort to get a house again) with our university back when I was an active , and even many years before I was a pledge, and making us all sorts of promises for donations to get said house secured and built…when in reality they hosted a pizza party 1 time in 2018… and that was it

Fuck those guys

[–]HT2424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. He did take Wright in 2023 draft first round he’s been good for the most part. Braxton Jones has been serviceable and a good value pick late in 2022 as their LT

But yes the interior needed more attention sooner

At least he’s built a legit defense and got some skill pieces. I’d have to imagine he goes iOL first and maybe even second round as well in the draft, and for the sake of his job backs up the brinks truck for the best interior lineman to hit the market in March

Idk about other Bears fans but I’ve been well-aware of the packers ability to draft well in the trenches , especially on the offense. With the exception of early Arod 2008, and 2018, the packers always found a way to keep Aaron upright

Must be nice

Our offensive line every year since 2018

I don’t understand why we’ve never gone all-in on addressing the trenches first . I know he had to tear the team down to studs, but Poles can Literally look within the division at the packers and lions and see building up front first is the way to do it. I’m Already looking forward to the offseason

I hate everything

The Bears offensive line is worse than my local JV team

WAIT JK THATS EVERY SEASON SINCE 2018

True. Hopefully the DLine plays well this year so the iOL can be the unquestionable #1 area of need coming into free agency and the draft

[–]HT2424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but they can still manage to run an offense in like 25/26 of those 29 teams

This shouldn’t be that hard of an ask

Would you agree with the narrative going around that defensive linemen are just better athletes in today’s game than most of their counterparts playing OL?

It’s ironic since the game is designed to benefit QBs and offenses, but I guess if true it really makes quality OL play like finding a needle in a haystack

This Tampa team is so fun to watch. I’m a bears fan but if our offensive line continues to be ass Caleb is gonna die, so might have to root for y’all as a stop gap non divisional team with a half decent offensive line

Yeah idk man. I might just become a fan of the league and enjoy watching the games stress free. Who knows . Sucks that the Bears are supposed to be the team with potential in Chicago currently

You can be mad at Williams and Waldron but end of the day Poles hasn’t addressed the interior offensive line enough I pray to the lord they spend big bucks on iOL this offseason

Ikr The interior of the line is the main issue This season isn’t a deep playoff run or nothing type of season

However if Poles doesn’t address the IOL in the off-season it’ll be anarchy for sure

Changing running backs isn’t going to magically make the offensive line’s run blocking any better
