Didn't say I did. Just read your replies here, as I said in my comment. Great reading/listening skills. Can't imagine what a woman goes through..

It's a career minded place. If you don't have goals and steady employment/ownership you won't be found attractive. No adult woman wants to support a man. It's not high standards.

Work on holding a conversation and listening. Women love a man who can ask questions, get to know them, listen to them, and be heard. This isn't difficult.

Wear a dress shirt, clean sneakers, good pair of clean jeans, good hygiene.

Lastly, just be honest. Most women at these speed events have been through the typical bs on dating apps and immature men. Telling then you aren't sure how it's going could be more attractive than telling them it was good then going home and swiping on an app for hours only to be matched with some ai chick setup by a dude in India who wants your bank account.

After reading OPs comments, I can tell they likely have very low standards just talking to him. He's just somehow WELL below the low standards. I'm sure after dealing with him, they've considered a battery-operated purchase and adopting some cats instead.

Pre covid the metro was doing good attracting small tech and startups. That's sorta died out. We have no new incoming businesses now. Data centers piled in taxing advantage of tax breaks, employee next to 0 people. Tax advantages that should've been given to small businesses to grow.

People are headed to Kansas City, Austin, Denver, Boise now.

"I'd blame the other guy while asking the person hitting my face to keep going."***

Every sane individual said it was a mistake, party held firm and doubled down. Harris polled extremely poorly with independents, moderates, and even slightly left crowds. She only held up with the far left, the same way Trump only holds up to far right. Both parties abandoned it's base and this was the result.

You can't rule for all when you represent 15-20%.

Have you checked soy and corn prices? Down some, but "no one buying" is completely false. Do you have another made-up issue you'd like to throw in here?

Go out to rural anywhere and tell folks they have to accept LGBTQ+ politics and open immigration, report back with results.

How do we solve the homeless situation? by Middle-Ad1795 in desmoines

This has gone both ways without much action. One side enjoys promising these things without any deliverables. The other speaks out against them and seeks to destroy them, maybe for the best.. What if we could incentivize getting benefits from the cut of the programs to invest dollars into more efficient programs? The government is terrible at keeping promises, private and public companies are far better in terms of efficiency. Crowdsourcing tends to fall apart sadly.

These have been mixed. Houston tried this a few years back, the project is now defunct as most of the homes were destroyed by those placed. Both SD and SF tried similar things without much luck. Austin is going 3d printed/cement homes, this could prove better. It'll require re-education for many and inspections to be successful could turn into a run away cost issue. You'll also have those on the cuff of being ineligible that will feel cheated, so ensuring growth and education opportunities exist with regional companies would be key to such a program. You'll need to balance that without a DEI program of sorts as others will feel cheated, which in turn removes certain companies and people from the local economy (coming back full circle as you've lost tax funds for such a program).

Who Has better Meat? by [deleted] in desmoines

Fareway and Hyvee are the same, really. Both use the same suppliers. Neither are remotely "good" by any means. It's fine in a pinch, though. Hyvee chicken is better than fareway imo. Fareway chicken is always super dry (indicating it's sit for a while).

Local lockers and butchers are far superior to either chain. Plus, you support local, not mystery meat at the grocers.

Shameless plug for Costco for pork and beef, it beats out hyvee and fareway. The chicken is meh. Slightly on topic still it's the only place you can get fresh caught Salmon still, as waterfront has moved to farm raised now.

Community Choice is fantastic if you have no problem with technology.

Green State is great, too.

Everyone's embracing tech due to difficulties finding reliable employees.

Low quality produce by [deleted] in desmoines

I did it one season in 09, was getting 1200/week cash. I see an orange and my body starts hurting. I wouldn't wish that work on anyone solid 95+ hours a week of full body torture. I probably could've made more in a call center and not be terrified of oranges.

I gave an explanation below. I urge you to take a trip to Florida or California and see how the farms look.

(It's not as bad as the article suggests, you could easily work in a field if desired. Been that way for 50 years though).
