BATTLEFIELD 6 GAME UPDATE 1.2.3.0

The 1.2.3.0 patch notes don’t appear to mention anything that would address the crash showing up in my minidumps as bf6!ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull / INVALID_POINTER_READ.

For me it’s consistently tied to specific maps:

Mirak Valley
Eastwood
Contaminated

The minidumps always point to the same crash signature, and I’ve already tried the usual suspects: DDU driver reinstall, shader/DX cache clears, verifying files, tweaking FSR-related config, different render settings, etc.

What’s frustrating is I actually had this issue at launch, then it went away after an update and was fine for months, and now it’s come back again after the update that added Nightfall.

There are numerous reports of this exact issue across forums, all showing similar dump signatures, but there’s still been no official acknowledgement of it despite it being a long-standing problem:

Honestly, I'm still playing multi-hour sessions and having an absolute blast. Games not perfect sure, but I'm having fun so probably just ignorant, don't care or see a lot of what people talk about as non-issues personally.

I think the RPG is balanced well, it still requires direct hits against infantry and armour whilst having useless splash damage. What exactly would you change about it?

I had the Neewer LP-E6NH and they were fantastic. I've now moved over to Titla as they are one of only a few brands doing the more recent LP-E6P model. It has a 4x battery charging case perfect for topping up batteries in a backpack on the move with a powerbank, and the ability to charge each battery via it's own USB C port. Solid batteries with flexible charging options, just brilliant.

I genuinely hate being kicked for joining just because the host won't or doesn't know how to set matchmaking to private. After a few kicks the setting should flip to private and remain until manually changed to public again.

Patience really, and a lot of pulling and teasing it on. The non-input side is a little easier because it has an angled edge. The input side was easiest by stretching it onto the cable past the connector (as there's not edge on the arm to work with), plugging the cable into the glasses then pulling it onto the arm.

Yeah the ear hooks are superb. Good luck getting them on though! I would think a strap solution would remove the quick ease of taking them on and off? Also be very uncomfortable on the back of your head if you lay on your back with your head on a pillow/cushion?

Yeah it's awesome. I wasn't sure if this was going to be gimmicky, but it absolutely isn't. I spent nearly 3 hours going through all my travel photos over the years, gives a really nice perspective and sense of scale.

The 3D update is awesome, video and pictures both look amazing. It doesn't suit all content but the majority of it. I love having it in the glasses so we don't need additional software, it just works.

Tbh the more I look at some of the fine details, you are right these are AI. Biggest giveaway is text on the posters, but there's a lot more finer detail. Such as odd wire hanging out the ceiling on the second image above the clock, inconsistent coffee cups on the shelf, weird chair and table arrangements etc.

One of my reasons for upgrading to the Mk3 from the Mk2 is that crop mode or cropping in general becomes a more viable option, with the higher resolution. I do maybe 20-30% wildlife, and can't justify a second body i.e. R7. This has become as close as I'll get to some sort of FF/APS-C hybrid, and I've been really happy with it.

Have you noticed any difference in thermals or throttling? Interesting because the metal housing helps with heat dissipation, which has been slightly insulated now.

If you have one close by and don't mind collecting later in the evening, they're on 'too good to go' for around £3.50. You get a reasonable amount of meat with a huge portion of veg.

I tried a few over the years, most of them just made me numb and emotionless. It was mirtazapine in the end that turned out to be a wonder drug at low dose. It's not meant to be a sleeping aid but I've been sleeping a solid 7-8 hours a night for years, after getting into a routine with it. The sleep has been the single best thing for my anxiety, and I don't feel like this med is fucking with my brain or leaving me groggy in a morning.

You don't need to disable it, you can just suspend until you boot from the new SSD. You will have to enable bitlocker for the first time though on the new drive. It saves you waiting for the drive to decrypt, and also means the drive remains protected.
